9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen I first started coming to Skyline, I was disappointed. I couldn't believe it was ranked 3rd. I must disclaim this by saying my opinion may have been affected by my previous experience at a private school. Regardless of that, all the good intentions and hardworking nature that they say is a part of Skyline is a total misrepresentation. Half of my teachers have been simply not good; they were unnecessary, didn't teach me anything, the class just felt like a waste of time, etc. What's more, they don't have recycling and don't spread any sort of sustainability motive, I mean truly. While they have a good earth club, the administration definitely does not care about the environment, which should be quite important given what's going on with Utah, particularly with water usage and air quality. I emailed the principal and superintendent both in regards to recycling, and offered to play a role however I could in helping make it happen, whether that was fundraising or whatever, even if that sounds presumptuous, I was desperate. Anyway I hate it hereStudent Review4mo ago - Upland Terrace School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUpland Terrace is a fantastic school. Excellent teachers and families who value education. Academics are demanding and teachers work well with students and families. Upland offers many activities: Hands on Science, Art Specialist through BTS, before school orchestra and band programs, a school musical with over 200 kids participating, 1:1 Chromebooks, Smart boards, etc. The PTA is strong and offers fun family activities all year long that build community and raise money to support learning (fun run, carnival, dads and donuts, art night, etc.). Each grade level has special field trips and learning activities going on each year (Colonial Days, Science Fair, Courageous Americans, Rendezvous, etc.). Field trips include skiing, snowshoeing, museums, Great Salt Lake, Zoo, Nature center, etc. The school is going to offer after school programming next fall and hopes to offer extended day kindergarten next year if there is enough interest. The other great thing is that it is the only elementary feeder into top notch Wasatch Jr and Skyline High School.Other Review5y ago - Wasatch Jr High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our first year at Wasatch. We have been extremely pleased with the staff and teachers. We were accepted to 2 charters schools and what Wasatch offers exceed any of them. The obvious choice was Wasatch. My child is doing great and loves every aspect of it.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 3339 S Fallon Rd E.

"We've lived in two neighborhoods in East Millcreek. We think you'd be crazy to raise a family anywhere else. Our neighbors have been guardian angels to our children; nearby parks and "The Gully" have been ideal places for imaginative play. It's a true community...with no one excluded. Everyone cares for one another...I mean really cares! Wasatch Junior High is the best school in the state...and I say that from my childrens' experiences and from working there. All of the area schools have a well-justified reputation for producing remarkably skilled and well-mannered students. We have lived all over Salt Lake Valley and in 3 other states and can say nothing compares to the positive advantages of the East Millcreek community. And to think we chose it only because it has cleaner air up here. "
