$320,000 short sale price didn't work - no takers - Home now has mold from broken plumbing from unregulated county water pressure. Rats and varmit population has greatly increased recently with new neighbor rescue-livestock and their rescue dog kennel. Hope you're an early riser - neighbor dogs are! Foundation may have serious crack. No appliances or conveniences remain in the home. This is a rural area with a hill-billy school board. No improvements in high school in 20 years. HIgh schools still using portable classrooms it has had since the beginning. All indoor sports, like basketball, have to be played away, due to red tape and personality conflicts over gym construction. The town is not motivated for any sensible change that would improve it's ability to educate. Get ready to drive back into Santa Clarita if you care about your kids education and winter sports programs. TRoo many teachers in this school system only interested in treadng water for tenure purposes.

Neighborhood Description

SPECTACULAR! AND COUNTY WATER. Aqua DUlce doesn;'r have county water. The have wells that barely pump water. This private-neighborhood has quite a few people who are in the film business. Almost everbody has horses and quite a few of us let our kids ride motorcyles and Quads on the dirt roads and paths in the hills. Everyone is living on 2,5 and 20 acre plots, so there's plenty of room between us all. Many folks have get together's at the private roping arenas where new riders are always welcome. We still have a few dirt roads and great pl;aces to ride your horse. Our small town has a great council and we have old time holiday parades and celebrations. A great accupuncturist and world class chiropractor is within a 3 minute drive. We have car repair, fast food, gas stations, mom and pop restaurants and a quaint small-town private grocery store. We have a great postal office and staff. We even have one of California's best french resturants about 12 minutes away down on Sierra Highway. 20 minues to Canyon Country and 20 minutes to Palmdale/LAncaster. Quick access to the 138 for getting to the 15 and on to Vegas in under 3 hours. The occasional SPACE SHUTTLE Landing, Test aircraft high above and fantastic air shows at Edwards Air Force base gives us unusual activities.

    "Dog owners would like the room to roam. Properties are mostly 5 acres and up on my street. The springtime is pretty. It also snows a few times a year, so you can’t just leave your pets out. Also, coyotes are everywhere so small dogs get eaten. Have seen bobcats and mountain lions as well."

    "Everyone in my neighborhood has 5 or 10 acre properties so you don’t hear dogs barking in your house ,but too many people let their dogs roam freely and cause my dogs to bark. I don’t like to walk my dogs because of too many dogs on the loose . Small dogs and cats can disappear quickly,even in their yards due to coyotes,bobcats and mountain Lions."

    "In my neighborhood ,most houses are on 5 acre lots (some are on 10) and very rural. You can go out to run errands but never see neighbors for weeks! If you like solitude, you can find it here! It is very safe but you do have to keep an eye out for snakes,coyotes and occasional mountain lion. In 20 years, I have seen 2 mosquitos and two mountain lions! My kids loved growing up here but schools are sub par."

    "Most properties have acreage,a lot of room to roam! I have never had fleas or ticks on my dogs and have only seen a few mosquitos in 20 years of living here. Unfortunately, we usually see a rattlesnake or two each summer. Small dogs/animals can’t be left alone outside, they will be quickly eaten by predators."
