Posted by a community member on 6/12/2023THIS SCHOOL IS HORRIBLE AT DE-ESCALATING BULLYING AND THREATS AGAINST A CHILD. FOR YEARS HAS NOT BEEN FAIR OR DISICIPLINED THE STUDENTS THAT NEEDED TO BE DISCIPLINED. MY CHILD WAS HARRASED AND THREATS WERE BEING MADE AGAINST. NOTHING WAS DONE. SHAME ON THE PRINCIPAL AND SOME OF HER STAFF.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBullying is a huge problem at this school. it’s not only child on child Bullying. The staff, in particular the office in the yard duty are vicious to children. Your child has an incident at school where they’re hurt don’t expect a phone call. Expect to be gossiped about and made fun of you concerned about your child and upset that you weren’t notified. Discretion is most certainly not in the vocabulary of the school staff. They’re more concerned with numbers and getting paid by the state then if your child is hurt, they have a new principal every month it seems like. The latest is bribing kids even if they’re sick to come to school so they can have slime parties. That being said, there are some great teachers who have been there for a very long time but once you get past second grade, you might as well change schools. Also notice it only goes up to fourth grade because at fifth grade soon to be fourth grade, the kids are sent to the junior high because of overcrowding. The school both three elementary schools yet only uses one. And good luck dealing with the staff because nepotism is prevalent throughout the school and the district office which has been sued multiple times for a plethora of things. Student confidentiality is not important. That is reflected in actions, such as releasing information without following proper state mandated guidelines. And then getting angry when they get in trouble and causing trouble for your child at school hence the bullying. It’s a shame in an area where people clearly value their children, though there is such a junk school ran by a district of individuals who has been sued, and is completely incompetent inapt at that job. There is only one grade level so if your child is behind, or if they are accelerated… There is no modification.Parent Review1mo ago - High Desert School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageScale Academy is unlike any school I have seen or experienced in my life, and the personality of this institution is what will soon come to define the future of American education. Its non-traditional approach to education allows for students to learn according to their strengths, interests, and abilities, gaining new perspective on the world around them and developing skills that will better serve them well beyond the classroom. As a blended learning school, students can learn both online and on campus, benefiting from a wide range of classes and professional, compassionate, and motivated educators. The small class sizes allow for teachers to work closely with their students toward mastery, ultimately using their knowledge of each of their students to better facilitate learning, maturation, and growth. It is a free public school with an elite private school feel, allowing for families of all walks of life to benefit from Scale s commitment to excellence. Its staff and faculty are each educated and gifted in their designated areas. Scale Academy has a rich vision for the future that will impact countless Pasadena youth for years to come.Teacher Review9y ago
