About this House

Dream of permaculture farming or just enjoying the country lifestyle? Here is your dream homestead! 2 and a half acres of sustainable resources surround this charming farmhouse. Over 150 producing, varietal fruit and nut trees, all organic raised bed gardens, and planted pasture grass are watered by this property's fantastic well. The whole property is solar powered(not leased), which nearly eliminates the power bill. Feed your animals and yourself with the bounty of this land, have enough leftover to sell at the local farmers market just down the street. Chicken area, horse facilities, and many outbuildings can be used as a garage/barn, canning area, or modify for living space. A charming log treehouse is not far from the main house. All of the buildings have new 100 year roofs. The house has been updated with new electric panel, new windows and doors, rain gutters, dishwasher, faucets and fixtures. There is a cozy woodstove for heat and a whole house fan contributes to the efficiency of this home. A darling country kitchen and living room are framed in brick. "Dog owners would like the room to roam. Properties are mostly 5 acres and up on my street. The springtime is pretty. It also snows a few times a year, so you can’t just leave your pets out. Also, coyotes are everywhere so small dogs get eaten. Have seen bobcats and mountain lions as well."
  • Lucyj2000
"Everyone in my neighborhood has 5 or 10 acre properties so you don’t hear dogs barking in your house ,but too many people let their dogs roam freely and cause my dogs to bark. I don’t like to walk my dogs because of too many dogs on the loose . Small dogs and cats can disappear quickly, even in their yards due to coyotes, bobcats and mountain Lions."
  • Lucyj2000
"Schools are lacking here. Commute to Santa Clarita for kids schools. There is a metro link station, but not close enough for my area. I try to avoid traffic when possible. "
  • Lucyj2000
"In my neighborhood ,most houses are on 5 acre lots (some are on 10) and very rural. You can go out to run errands but never see neighbors for weeks! If you like solitude, you can find it here! It is very safe but you do have to keep an eye out for snakes, coyotes and occasional mountain lion. In 20 years, I have seen 2 mosquitos and two mountain lions! My kids loved growing up here but schools are sub par."
  • Lucyj2000
"Most properties have acreage,a lot of room to roam! I have never had fleas or ticks on my dogs and have only seen a few mosquitos in 20 years of living here. Unfortunately, we usually see a rattlesnake or two each summer. Small dogs/animals can’t be left alone outside, they will be quickly eaten by predators."
  • Lucyj2000
"There is a community center for events. There were more events before Covid. There is a 4th of July parade. "
  • Casey V.

"rural life but close to the city and things. beautiful mountain views and horse property. no smog or June gloom"
  • Lucyj2000
"We have 5 or 10 acre lots. Not tract homes in this neighborhood. Most properties in this neighborhood are on wells. "
