The nearby Park 'n Ride and public transit help make commutes easier. The K-6, middle and high schools are close by and are all highly regarded. Grocery shopping is only a few minutes away and it's only 15 minutes to the nearest larger mall (and Costco).
The home has been lovingly maintained by the same family since it was built in 1977. Clean and updated, the house is now ready for a new generation. Enjoy woodland and wildlife viewing from the the front and back decks, as well as the covered porch off the master suite.
Custom features include vaulted wood ceilings in the great room and master bedroom, built-in cabinets and large round window with double window seats in the newly wallpapered dining room. There is a unique sewing/craft room (or office) with built-in shelves, folding table and a desk in addition to the walk-in closet off the master suite. There is a separate laundry room in the upstairs living area and a generously-sized two car garage with storage areas under the main part of the house. The downstairs bonus/recreation room, adjacent to the garage, has built-in shelves, cedar-planked closet, wood-lined walls and carpet.
The home is heated primarily by two dependable wood stoves and is cooled by a new roof-mounted evaporative cooler - which are economical to use. The propane tank is owned - with propane for cooking, hot water and clothes dryer option. The water district provides good water to the home and the septic tank has never failed. The home is quite well insulated and there are are dual pane windows and glass doors throughout the home.
The kitchen has been recently updated with new granite counters, dishwasher, sink and a rather new propane stove. The exterior was painted a few years ago and the original roof has been replaced. New interior paint and flooring are throughout most of the house - consisting of laminate, tile bathrooms and carpet in the bedrooms and hall.
The property is suitable for horses, is partially fenced and has three wooden shop or storage barns, as well as lots of room for RV parking. There are no HOA fees, other than a $300/year fee to help maintain the private 1 mile-long road. People usually come to East View and stay twenty years or more, which helps with stability and safety for the neighborhood. It's a beautiful and enjoyable, quiet place to live.
