9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a student at Beverly and it is very different from public perception. The school has fallen back in recent rankings and that is definitely reflected through the student body. Most of the student body are very lazy, ungrateful, and could not care less about school. I am truly shocked at the misbehavior I see from students in classrooms and how little they care about their grades, coursework, and school. But I will say that about 5-10% of students care very deeply about school and are aiming to go to top schools, and so among them, they are both very hardworking and are excited about what they learn. I would say that the teachers at the high school are midrange. A lot of them don't care about their students, some are just unqualified or completely disconnected with the job, or are absolutely doing the bare minimum. But on the other side, there are also many teachers who are truly spectacular at their job and care about their students, and this would be the majority. I would say that the bad teachers only make up a small portion of the faculty but even a few bad teachers affects a student school life. The administrators are standoff-ish but also overworked. Same thing goes with the counselors, many of them have 200 or more students and that is simply too much for one person to take care of, but they themselves do care. Almost every time I go into the bathroom there is a group of students vaping. This goes back to how many students do not care about school or academics and also I have yet to see a student be persecuted for vaping. The school administration and programs do do a very good job of trying to educate us on the harms of vaping and drugs but just like any school, there will be teenagers who rebel. The student body extremely lacks diversity. The school is predominantly Persian and Jewish and there are very few people of other groups and so people are not exposed to students of other backgrounds and therefore develop prejudices. I have heard things said about other races and ethnicities that I would never imagine hearing from people in my generation and people in Los Angeles. If you or your child is very hardworking then they will be able to avoid all the discrimination and vaping since they will automatically be associated with the smart clique but so many of the students being so lazy does put a damper on ones experience. And if you or your child is not hardworking and is just trying to graduate then why not come here to use its amenities.Student Review1y ago - Beverly Vista Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend this school considering the poor treatment of its students and the utter disregard they have for their family members. The administration rarely responds to emails, or any forms of communications; they lack the ability to run a large public school. Students are bullied and there aren't any repercussions. Teachers are known to make false statements about their students and not apologize even after the damage is done. They refuse to send out letters of recommendation, because it is "against their policies" which then affects a child's ability to get into private schools. Their curriculum is subpar, considering they are the school preparing kids for Beverly Hills High (whom has a well known distinguished, difficult curriculum), and they lack resources to help students succeed. The cities tax dollars are paying for this place and it seems to be only funding their pockets instead of the children.Parent Review11mo ago - El Rodeo Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would like to point out the ONLY positive experience we had at El Rodeo school:The level of education is outstanding-however and there are to may however(s)..we, the parents both traveled our whole life for work...never met such a antisocial, low emotional educated community as we did when our child attended El Rodeo school.I am mostly talking about the parents body- there are some good teachers - the new principal does his very best ....Which isn't helpful at all since he is in need of donation from a group of overly proud, selfish parents that try to rule the school. Many ( not all of course ) parents and their children use the most abusive language- parents have no hesitation to unload their low class expression in front of other students....its beyond shocking!Middle school kids kicking and fighting each other - all kept on an i phone for later entertainment. The aides which taking" care" of the students during recess are burned out, moody and social low educated. When you read all the happy comments about this school ... please keep in mind this comes from a "society" with foreign values, no interest in serving as a social member of a community- handbags, expansive cars and lot of " show off" comes first -Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 324 El Camino Dr.

"There are many children of all ages who live in the area. Roxbury park has many activities for residents of all ages. The area is very dog friendly but unfortunately some owners aren’t responsible with picking up so there is often dog feces near sidewalks. Otherwise, safe and friendly with many different cultures. "
