"Safe neighbourhood, everybody takes care and knows each other. A lot of coffee shops, restaurants, and supermarket walking distance. A lot of history, and historic neighbourhood and houses from the 1800s."
  • Prielly
"Newport is a great eclectic neighborhood with a great mix of newer and restored historic row houses that’s very friendly and walkable. The best part, you’re under a mile from downtown Cincinnati "

"Lots of $hootings to look forward to if you move in! Especially in the summer! One just happened on the street next to me yesterday"
  • Katie
"Lots of dogs. Some neighbors have annoying dogs that bark all-the-time while walking by. However, there is a nice dog park near the Campbell County Public Library."
  • Trulia User
"Not a lot of green spaces to let dogs run, and sidewalks are not properly maintained. Safe to walk around if you had a big dog, less it it’s a small or toy breed. "
  • Juliepelle1

"I’ve lived here for three years. My neighbors are great! There is nothing I don’t like about my neighborhood."
  • Reneegishsept G.
"the city of Newport doesn't want renters up on the hill of south Newport. they will harass and find nonsense reasons to fine you and invade your privacy until you have to relocate. "
  • Alex S.
"There are lots of animals so dogs are great here great place to walk a dog I guess. Not much grass or play area"
  • Mary J. S.

  • Brittany M.

  • Rachael A. G.
"Lots of young families, safe and lots of kid-friendly parks and activities within walking distance. "
  • Brittany M.
"Great town- Good proximity to the city, only 5-10 minutes or a $5-10 Uber ride! Lots of food and shopping options! And a great community feel."
  • Shannonereeder
"With it’s beautiful turn of the century homes tightly packed along tree lined streets and it’s proximity to Cincinnati, Covington and Belleville, Newport feels like a little Chicago or NYC neighborhood. The atmosphere and aesthetics create the illusion of life in a big city, just but for a fraction of the price. While it’s still developing and improving, I really like living here."
  • Joshua A.
"It’s trashy and loud around where I live. It’s impossible to escape the road/traffic noise!! Biker grants/groups are annoyingly loud at ALL hours of the night 3/4 the year!"
  • Kelli J.
"This area has great access to the city. I have enjoyed living on the river, and think there is a lot to do"
  • Josh
"It’s freaking loud street noise. Annoying motorcycles are out ALL hours of the night!! Don’t like it. I’m moving as soon as I can. "
  • Jammiewainscott
"Its a quite place and easy to walk to anywhere. Plus there is a lot of entertainment with the Levee."
  • Reneegishsept
"South Newport seems to be a fairly safe neighborhood. but as with any neighborhood in any City you need to keep a close eye on your children while they're out to play. my granddaughter is in kindergarten and I'm not too crazy about the school system in Newport. there seems to be quite a bit of bullying and even though I've brought it to their attention he doesn't seem to be much done about it. all in all it's not a bad place to live."
  • Ukcheerad
"I drive every day for work. Both to and from. The drive is filled with awful traffic because of poor road planning/layouts, awful endless construction, and terrible drivers who do not know how to merge appropriately!"
  • Osroeder
"I travel for work. So I do not have regular commute. My neighborhood is 20 minutes from CVG, Northern KY Cincinnati Airport. Options for commuters are walking, cycling, rental bikes, shuttle or driving."
  • Jazmina R.
"fun, convienent, beautiful, lively, eclectic, sidewalks, entertainment, family friendly, animal friendly. "
