  • Trulia User
"Location is near the freeway and shopping. Neighbors look out for everyone"
  • Amy V. S.
"I’ve lived here for 20 years and grew up here. People are friendly and it’s a Safe place to live, there are not any serious crimes even though it’s a good Size city now. The city has grown to have a good amount of shopping and many popular restaurants right down the street. It is closer to a nice outdoor mall when you need to go to other stores. Schools have been good while my children were there, they all attended Anchor Bay. There are also several close by colleges within commuting distance so you don’t have to pay for dorms. "
  • Mahir S.
"everyone has an even of their own. the main thing is that it's safe in this area. with plenty to do and stay entertained is never far to be reached "
  • Andrea P.
"Good place for kids. The schools are really nice and the neighbors are friendly. It’s a good place to raise your family. "
  • Michigangreatlakes
"It’s a subdivision but the county plows our streets and we have no HOA fees. We don’t have any street lights but 50% of the home owners keep there outside lights on."
  • Gtsitek
"Convenient location, quiet nights, plenty of options for dining and close to Lake St. Clair. Easy ride to Chesterfield or New Baltimore. Chesterfiel Township services are polite and efficient. "
  • Ariel L.
"Everything is close by. There is Uber and public buses. You could bike if necessary. I love this town."
  • James M.
"lots of families here so any kid growing up here would have no problem finding other children to be friends with. safe quiet community with quick access to the water and charming towns even if chesterfield itself is fairly bland boilerplate suburbia."
  • Ck
"Sometimes we have block parties. Everyone’s always outside doing something. Everyone says hi. And someone’s always having a bonfire that you can join. "
  • Mnaval01
"Nice neighborhood. People are very nice. Some don’t pick up their dogs waste though, which is very disappointing."
  • Charlotte H.
"the neighborhood is very Quiet. it is also Cozy and quaint. Everything is convenient and easy to get to. all in all I will have to say that I described Chesterfield as beingfamily oriented"
  • Charlotte H.
"I am living here temporarily. I however would rather live in New Baltimore. Less hustle. Stores/restaurants are convenient. I feel safe as well."
  • Jonathan C.
"To the best of my knowledge there aren’t many community events I just have made a lot of friends from school and work so we do events together "
  • Mnaval01
"It is a very quiet and laid back community. Neighbors are super friendly and willing to help out anytime."
  • Paddylaske
"No sidewalks leaves it hard to walk safely. Some homeowners use the underground fencing so their dogs are out front and run towards you barking which can be very frightening. "
  • Mnaval01
"It’s a great place to live. The neighbors are super helpful and friendly. We have Saturday night card parties, cook outs and shared rides to events, such a dinner, bowling, etc. We help each other with snow removal. It’s just a super night community in which to live."
  • Paddylaske
"Friendly with wonderful and wide canals. Easy access to lake and big lots. Close to a nice park as well. "
  • Karlie
"Friendly, nice area. Good for walking and playing. Some playgrounds in the area. Close to lake St.Clair beaches. "
  • Patty P.
"Horrible. The bridge on Jefferson and Salt River has been closed since Memorial day and will open Nov. 1st. 1000’s of cars are all detoured to 23 mile. "
  • Paddylaske
"It’s a beautiful sub with extra wide canals. The association fees are very minimal for what you get including dredging when needed and the canals are treated. "
  • Cierra F.
"It’s a safe place for children to be able to play outside with their friends. There’s local stores everywhere and everyone I’ve encountered has had a friendly attitude. The parks are well maintained and fun for the younger kids"
  • Codyrcoff
"Many people dog walking and many kids around. Everything is a fairly close drive. Nice neighbors but the area is seemingly and slowly going downhill."
  • Patricee3c g. c.
"I live off a main street that has public transportation if ever I needed it. i94 isn't far from my home literally about 2.5 minutes away. lift, uber, or a taxicab is just a app and phone call away. one of the many amenities I have to have near my home"
  • Jonesm112766
"it's quite and friendly people. well kept and clean. lots of dog owners. not picking up dog poop. great and quite naborhood. great view. lots of stores. "
  • Sjjohns64
"My commute to work is very long. I work in Troy and I spend at least 2 hours in the car. The winter is the worst though. When it snows it's at least an hour and a half to two hour drive one way. I take 59 and the construction is terrible. Everywhere you go traffic is backed up because they are working in the roads. I would actually love to find a job closer to my home because we do like the area. "
  • Brittanyanntrost
"not great transportation accessible any way off 23 mile rd but there is plant of food and things to do and have a great family atmosphere "
