2025 As a Grandparent of a student, I am not happy about the information my Granddaughter tells me. 1st the school is so crowded this year she can barely walk to class without slow shuffle steps, Overcrowding is a health risk plus safety issue. Not to mention the traffic after school is obnoxious. Lunchtime should be divided into 2 times, one for 9 and 10th grade and one for 11th and 12th grade. The lunch trucks are over priced, she tried once and a bag of chips and 2 drinks were $20 . And the lines for the cafeteria are worse. My Granddaughter has one teacher she does like , who treats students like human beings ( In the JROTC ) All the others do not engage in talking with students, they maintain a role book for school funds. My Granddaughter went to College events but she doesn't feel encouraged to attend any. She is self motivated to continue with her culinary education but did not receive encouraging words from her teacher. 1st week of school and she already is ill from the classroom and halls being packed beyond the safety amount of students that should be there. Let's hope there's no crisis this year. It would be a disaster.

Children are physically fighting every other day. This school has a terrible reputation amongst those who live in the southwest.

My oldest was at Don and Dee Snyder k-5 and my other two children are currently attending. Myself and all three kids have absolutely loved this school and this staff. The administration at this school is amazing, loving and supportive. Mrs. Dalton the principal truly cares about the school, the kids and the community. I have had to personally meet with Mrs. Lopez the assistant principal multiple times about various issues with my kids. Every time we spoke she was kind, respectful and fair. I know my kids are not saints and were at fault in some situations but she was always understanding, kind and fair to my kids and me in those situations. I saw someone mention that they were not called when their kids spoke to the assistant principal and that they are not allowed to do that but that is untrue. Would it be nice if they could call every time? Yes. But do they have to? No. I bet that would be a lot of phone calls! I have spoke with Mrs. Wichman once as well and she took the time to explain things to me when I wasn't clear about the process. One of my children has a 504 and the team was amazing about working with us on accommodations and all the teachers have been so supportive in my kids emotional health. Can't say enough great things about this school!
