This is our 6th & final year at Brooklyn Glenn. We have been very active through volunteer & PTA opportunities. There is a sense of belonging in this school that is rare today. The teachers are all highly qualified. The staff is highly trained. And there is a sense of pride in the school that reaches far beyond academic achievement! Every child matters. Every family belongs. It is a rare & wonderful achievement for any school but in Brook Glenn Elementary it is as natural as breathing.

Having watched my brother attend their 11 years prior to my son, I have seen a vast improvement in the leadership style of Mr. Mayfield. It has been a good experience overall despite COVID. There is definitely and sense of family but also an environment where teachers will challenge students to be better not just in grades but as citizens who will be agents of change. I've only become unhappy with teaching/learning styles with the school due to the pandemic. Quite a few teachers were not able to adapt quickly enough nor were they able to be flexible enough to roll with the challenges to teach or think outside of the box to reach students. Outside of this, I have been very pleased and would recommend

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!These teachers don’t care and most the time are bad at teaching then they blame their students.Also this is school is not safe people who do things that aren’t that bad get punished but when something serious actually happens like a kid threatening to shoot up the school they barely do anything (real example btw).Also there’s a huge problem with bullying here and most of the time nothing gets done about it.
