4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLone olsen elementary has to be one of the WORST schools I’ve ever encountered, I have a cousin who has autism and needs special ed and as we heard that this school has a program for kids with special ed we thought this would be a great opportunity, but as she started going to school we saw some MAJOR red flags, first of all the teacher assistants are not only minors but they aren’t certificated, they have no experience whatsoever, this second reason why you should NEVER enroll your kid into this school is so disappointing, about a few days ago my cousin was outside playing in the grass, when my uncle when to go get her he found mud and water inside her shoes, the supervisor was there supposedly “ taking care” of her when she actually was not paying attention to her AT ALL, and when my uncle went to go pick my cousin up the supervisor did not ask for a name about this is absolutely not safe at all because this just tells me that if some random person was picking up a kid they could have just kidnapped my cousin, and there weren’t any supervisors other than her.. this made me very upset because not only are the VERY unprofessional but they do not care about YOUR KIDS! also, they are NOT letting my uncle transfer my cousin to a different school, and like all the kids with special education NEEDS attention and care, but these people did not even show a slight show of care, I have many other reasons, but this last one is VERY upsetting, after all this, they are bringing my uncle and my aunt to COURT because my cousins haven’t been showing up to school, why? Because they have been SICK and my aunt called the doctor and they didn’t give her ANY documents for the school, with all this being said I hope this school shuts down because I do not wish upon ANYONE this type of treatment. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall the good teachers (and school leadership that somewhat tries) slightly make up for all the abysmal sewage that seeps out from every nook and cranny here. And it is still leagues better than most MPUSD schools. The last bit being the only reason for a third star.Student Review5y ago - Check out schools near 3196 Martin Cir.

"I'd guess that at least 50% or more of the homes here have at least one dog. The Dunes landscaping is maintained by the HOA, and everyone seems to be responsible, clean up after their dogs, and keep the neighborhood looking great. There is plenty of sidewalk space to walk your dog and stay away from others."

"We used to live in this part of town and I miss the proximity to the Sunday Farmer's Market, the coffee shops and stores. We could walk (stroller-stride) or bike to pick up a few items at the grocery store and be back home in no time. The sidewalks are in good condition and the traffic is minimal and courteous, especially since Imjin Parkway routes thru-traffic away from town. I wish the schools were better but they're average for Monterey (so-so). But the cost of living in Marina makes commuting to schools outside the area doable."

"Very quiet cul de sac off of another cul de sac. Walking distance to Monterey Salinas Transit and local shopping."
