We just moved here and my 2 daughters say the students are very rude to the teaches and the playgrounds slide is broken and they’re not allowed to use it. The after school program not sure if they help with homework because my child comes home everyday without homework done. A few minor adjustments
Posted by a parent on 10/21/2025Lone olsen elementary has to be one of the WORST schools I’ve ever encountered, I have a cousin who has autism and needs special ed and as we heard that this school has a program for kids with special ed we thought this would be a great opportunity, but as she started going to school we saw some MAJ

Using greatschools showed her going from a well rated school to one not so well rated. Olson pleasantly surprised me. I think there are components to a school that can't be measured in such a way. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is very small. However, it has a very friendly and welcoming staff. The children all wear uniforms, which cuts down on the daily disagreements on what your child needs to wear. I wish the school had more programs. There is a large Mexican population and offers for English classes. I wish there were more offers for Spanish classes, as other schools have done. It's very small.
