They love the students and they make sure they have everything they need. My kids scores are much higher than when they startedParent Review8mo ago22 Reviews - Highland High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a former student, I quit this school, they have accused me of many wrong things, never hearing my side of the story, some teachers would give me nasty looks, and still falsely accuse me of things after I have begged and tried telling them I didn't do anything. I received death threats from students that currently go there, but no one tried to do anything. My family had a talk, with the principal, the band teacher, and other employees, yet they all lied and said they couldn't do anything, and how I should have said something sooner, which I did, yet I am now graduating soon from a different school instead of highland. The school made my mental health deteriorated because of the teachers, and the students, never believing me, and could not help me through things, and just lying. Would highly not recommend.Other Review5mo ago11 Reviews - Highland Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wouldn't recommend the school. Kids smoke and are very mean. Counciers and deans are unhelpful and brush people off. They don't respond to verbal or physical harm. Teachers are nice but aren't good at teaching and when they do its boring . New principle has kinda made the school worse then it already was. School is not clean and water fountain has been broken for like 5 months, People have even spammed his inbox and he hasn't fixed it. Janitors do not clean. accommodations for special needs students are not good and inclusively is either shoved down your face and special needs students who have behavioral problems interrupt class and aren't redirected. Food is okay its to hard for the food its supposed to be at some times. Cops are mean and are more threatening then helpful. Staff are mean and condescending a lot of the times. School has lot of potential but not enough motivated kids and staff to make it a better school. Bullying and fights is a problem that goes unaddressed. In my opinion school should retrain staff and clean school. Wouldn't recommend this school!:(Student Review2mo ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 3112 99th E.

"The firework show on 4th of July is always breathtaking and always a big turnout. Along with the festivals and parades that happen. Highland is a great town with a great school system. The police are always there when needed and overall just an amazing place to live. Plus your close up the interstate which is great for commuting."

"Highland Is not as nice as it used to be the dealerships are flooding the Walt with light pollution. We had to invest in a security system. We have no street light on our block."
