8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two students in this school. They have high standards for academics as well as behavior, and they have matured with the help of the school. There are opportunities to get involved, and the principal is a good leader. Their music program is great.Parent Review1y ago11 Reviews - McKinley Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved our two kids to McKinley El last year because of the Dual Immersion and STEM programs it offers. We love the school! We have been impressed with the quality of the administrators, teachers, office staff, and PEP organization. The principal, Mr. Symonds, and assistant principal, Mr. Nguyen work hard to make McKinley a thriving learning environment. They are both very responsive to the kids and parents needs and inquiries. Mr. Symonds and Mr. Nguyen are also very supportive of the parent organization, PEP, and often attend the evening meetings to give their input. The office staff is always friendly and welcoming. McKinley has an incredible PEP organization that works hard to do fundraising and supports the school with fun student activities and events. We are also extremely happy that both our kids can attend the Parks and Recreation program after school. The leaders of the program like Diego and Karina keep the kids safe and promote the love of sports. Overall McKinley is the best elementary in our area!Parent Review7y ago4 Reviews - Gabrielino High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGabrielino is small which makes the learning environment encouraging and challenging. The teachers are generally caring and courseload is pretty rigorous, especially the science courses. The campus is safe and there are rarely any fights or bullying as most students keep to themselves or their own groups. All the campus staff is helpful and friendly. To be honest, I think Gabrielino does not get enough credit for being a good place to learn, compared to other more wealthy schools around the area. If you want a good education without the elitism or toxicity of other schools, come to Gabrielino.Student Review5y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 311 E Valley Blvd #104.

"It’s distance and traffic. It takes a bit to get to a freeway. I work in OC, so traffic and distance is something I deal with daily."

"Many people walk their dogs but not too many nice parks where we can walk our dogs. The closest big nice park is Lacy Park in San Marino. "

"This neighborhood is okay. I’ve lived in better. This isn’t the place to grow a family. You don’t see much of kids. No holiday spirit. "

"So many Chinese restaurants and they are the best you can get in America. Not a boring city if you live near Hawaii Supermarkets. You will mainly see Asian people. "

"It’s an okay area. Not the best but it will do for now. Not much of a diversity of people here but I do not plan staying here forever. And the houses are about to break down. They’re like Shacks "

"I had my package stolen and it’s partially gated community. Community can be decent but right outside of this community can be quite sketchy. When I used to live in pasadena, I was always jogging at night, but now living here, I don’t feel safe to jog at night "

"I work from home but frequent Downtown LA, Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank, Hollywood frequently. Can usually get to where I need to be in about 45 minutes even in heavy traffic. Considering some of these places are 30 miles away, it’s not that bad."
