"it's not a bad neighborhood , the school is pretty close, the library is pretty exciting to the neighborhood kids and the rec center is open during the summer."
  • Trulia User
"easy for the most part. it is close to the parkway and downtown. west liberty and 51 can get crowded sometimes."
  • Trulia User
"You will easily make friends because most of the dog owners know each other. There are at least 7 ppl on my block that have dogs"
  • Trulia User
"I love this area. Its a pleasant mixture of an urban area blended together with a suburban area. Brownsville Rd is right there with many shops and other things to do. For city lovers (I'm originally from NYC) you have some urban noises and activity that will make you feel at home, but its not excessive. You can go weeks without hearing sirens! At night the neighborhood sleeps. I regularly see deer roaming on my block at 2am. I hear crickets during the summer, and we can even see stars when the night is clear. "
  • Trulia User
"It's generally safe for kids. There are a bunch of parks in Carrick. On some of the main roads the people drive fast. The small blocks and dead ends are really quiet. "
  • Neptune8905
"Lots of space to walk dogs, most of us have them. People around here clean up after their pets while out on walks, so you rarely have to worry about stepping in dog feces or having someone walking their dog into your yard."
  • Jlynn P. .
"Bus,walk, car shops stores houses apartments parks bars restaurants and its quiet neighborhood for the most part"
  • Neptune8905
