We came into Maxwell as a middle school CSArts family. We were unsure of what to expect and definitely were nervous about what we would encounter. The school year is coming to an end, and I can happily say that our kids have had a fantastic year. We are grateful that the few issues that we encountered were resolved promptly and these issues were never a problem again after we notified the principal. While the school is not perfect, and no school is. I truly believe that they are doing a lot with what funding they have. Whether it be at Maxwell or any other school, I recommend communicating problems to admin immediately and become as involved as possible. You will understand why certain decisions are made and you will potentially help shape your child's school into a better place. Maxwell has a lot of teachers in the middle school that are well prepared to teach, engage, and partner with your child. I feel like what has helped our kids is the fact that they have a desire to learn and grow. So much is also about how you send your child into the world. Teachers cannot and should not be expected to raise our kids.

I loved attending this school, I went to Colorado over 4 times and Black Bird twice. They allowed me to travel to Washington D.C. and all of this was for free! I did sports, leadership, and earned over 100+ community service hours which helped while applying for jobs. I graduated early and they offered many resources for any path I chose from; the workforce, college, military, and business.
