"I have been living here for 5 years and only one time that has had a house robber. Other than that, neighbors don’t bother you. Once in a while trucks like to rev around the neighbor. Kids ride 4 wheelers around. More houses being built and still pretty quiet and private. "

"Mint Hill is great to begin with, but after having lived in the area I can say that I really do like this particular part. My husband and I lived on Wilgrove Mint Hill Road for a year and I've always been an avid mountain biking fan. After seeing the neighborhood on the back of a bike I can difinitively say that the southern part of Mint Hill is the nicest. There is almost no traffic, the streets are clean and well kept, the people I saw seemed friendly - waving as I went by - the parks are nice and seeing all the dogs made me want to get one myself. We have family that live on a more western part of 51 bordering Matthews, and while that's an okay place too, the traffic is much much worse and the denser construction makes the whole place seem much less friendly and well kept. I also wouldn't want to go too far north in Mint Hill, lest you hit Ablemarle Road. The southern and western part of Mint Hill is the place to be, in my opinion. The easy access to the highway means a shorter commute, while the suburban - almost rural - feel of the area makes for a welcome place to be at home."

"we moved in March 2011 and after going on 1 walk we were greeted by several neighbors, most of whom have lived in the neighborhood since it was first built in the early 80s. Very stable homes, hardly any vacant homes, we moved into the area to try and flip a house, but now we are probably going to stay."
