Rare opportunity to live in a 7,000 s.f. condominium on one floor in one of the most private and luxurious boutique buildings in the Gold Coast offering unparalleled elegance - just steps from the glamour of Oak Street's designer stores and restaurants galore. 30 W. Oak is Larry Booth, of Booth Hansen's, pinnacle of architectural achievement energized by the excitement of the city. With only 43 units, this high floor has 2 huge 24' x 12' terraces with commanding east and west views of the Lake and city, with both sunrise and sunset views. Drive into one of your 4 self-parking spaces in the heated garage and use just one elevator to discreetly enter your private secured floor. When entering the recently renovated lobby looking out at the rock-lined water element surrounding the west side of the building you immediately feel secured and welcomed by the 24-hour door staff, an onsite property manager, 3 building engineers, a new huge state-of-the-art fitness center, and 2 designated storage rooms. 10' high ceilings and 60' of floor-to-ceiling glass offer panoramic views of the cityscape, views down Oak Street and the Lake. Currently, the 21st floor is 2 units - a stunning 3,715 sf.highly upgraded 4 bedroom home and 21B, a 3,000 sf open floor plan apartment, plus ownership of the 3 hallways allowing the elevator to open into your private domain with a combined 7,000 s.f. Multiple iterations of the space is possible depending on your individual needs. Either combine both units or 21B can function as a guest apartment, perfect as an in-law or nanny's apartment, or a comfortable office. As you enter 21A you are immediately struck by Lake and city views, with massive walls of glass offering an abundance of natural light, opposite the warmth and sophistication of walnut walls and built-ins, motorized shades, and marble floors. Boasts 4 bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, a custom chef's kitchen with PoggenPohl cabinetry, granite countertops, enormous island, SubZero refrigerators, Miele 6-burner cooktop, 2 Miele ovens, a breakfast area, and a pass-through into the dining room with a wine fridge. The split bedroom floor plan has a lavish primary bedroom suite with 2 custom walk-in closets, and primary marble bathroom with a large walk-in shower, dual sinks and a dressing table. Both second and third bedrooms are ensuite offering your guests privacy and comfort. The 4th bedroom is accessed off the living room and is perfect as an office or den. 21B enjoys south and west-facing sunset views from its 24'x12' terrace. Wake up to the sunrise from your east-facing terrace and watch the sunset from your west-facing terrace.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDon’t go to lp if you care about your education. There are some AMAZING teachers but only 1/6 of your teachers will be good. A lot of my time at school was not spent learning or doing anything. There is a lack of structure and nothing is enforced, which was technically a benefit, but also had bad effects. There are pros and cons and I have very mixed feelings about my experience at Lincoln park. I felt like I had a lot of freedom but the school itself feels so much like prison. Many many issues with schedules, the actual schedule itself is terrible because its the same 8 classes everyday. Ive had both 3rd and 7th period lunch and it was miserable having to be starving all day. It feels very self directed and you can do whatever you want. THERE ARE CONSTANTLY SCANDALS AND INCIDENTS. I find it comedic and entertaining at this point but there are so many things going on. Lincoln park IS a fun high school but only if you are social and have friends. Administration is really just lacking in so many areas. This school is A JOKEEE but I love it. Hate it tho. Idk. I wouldn’t want to go to lane or jones or anywhere else though!!!!!Other Review1y ago - Check out schools near 30 W Oak St #21AB.

"It’s a lovely neighborhood and you see lots of moms and some dads pushing a stroller with their baby l/babies. It seems safe, but crime does come into the area sometimes. I’ve never seen that though."

"This area is safe and friendly. I always feel comfortable going outside and walking my dog at anytime or walking home from the bars. There is a heavy police presence in the area so you will never be far from one. I am in walking distance of grocery stores and parks and coffee shops. "

"Incredible proximity to the lake, mag mile, and city center. Amazing waking stress and close to the park. Arguably, the most desirable area to live in Chicago"
- Madelynn J.

"Sometimes crowded on the 151 bus, but they’re pretty frequent. I would leave some extra time. The red line also is super crowded at the clark/division in the morning so leave some extra time. Always better to have more time than not enough when trying to commute from this part of town"
- Joseph G.

"Convenient, but needs better scheduling during peak hrs. Also, bus status at each stop! Dangerous to be standing out! "
- Trulia User

"It is beautiful and clean and it has gorgeous views of the lake with little crime. All of the buildings are well kept. It feels like the upper east side of New York. "
- KT

"I travel a lot for work, so my commute is typically a cab to the airport. Cabs are readily available in the neighborhood. I prefer them to Uber / Lyft, which are also readily available in the neighborhood. Other than that, probably 95% or more of my trips are by foot."
- W.S.

"The festivals during the Summer months are lively, many are music based yet also have art related aspects to them as well."
- K
- Resident

"I travel frequently for work. O’Hare is about a 25 minute cab ride Monday morning. Thursday night varies a lot but is usually 45-55 minutes. When I’m not traveling, my office is in the Loop, a pleasant 30 minute walk from my apartment."
- Asya p.

"Beautiful, well manicured lawns; abundance of fun places to grab food and drinks, lots of groceries, and shopping. Close to the lake. "

"This neighborhood has the perfect mix of access to the beautiful Magnificent Mile, and a cozy feel with parks and beaches. It's an easy walk to public transportation and the Loop. During the winter, every tree in the whole neighborhood is covered in white lights. It's magical. This area is served by K-12 Ogden International School, which has a 1+ rating with CPS -- the highest rating possible."
