MVE is definitely a different environment but it has a lot to recommend it: the teachers and staff are amazing; the student body and staff are diverse; the parents are engaged. I highly recommend checking out the school on the open house day (Nov 2) or one of the tour days. "Historic Kenwood is a fantastic quirky neighborhood with accessibility to shops, restaurants, and more. It's walkable, friendly, and everyone watches out for each other. Very dog friendly. Friday porch parties to get to know your neighbors. Halloween and Holiday decorating contests. Events in the park. It's fantastic!"

"This area has easy access to Interstate 275 via 5th Ave N which is 4 blocks south. Downtown St. Petersburg is only a few miles away where one can find shopping, world class entertainment at Mahaffey Theatre, Arts at Dali Museum and Museum of Fine Arts. Fine dining at many great restaurants and night life."

"I have lived in Historic Kenwood for 17 years. It is charming, historic houses with lots of character, neighbors who know each other, say hi, watch out for each other, and take pride in the community. There is a sense of place here that is truly special."

"The people are extraordinarily friendly. Between 20th and 28th streets,except for the Grand Central area [1st Ave S, Central, 1st Ave N] and 5th and 9th Aves, there is very little traffic and what there is tends to be quite slow. A laid-back feel pervades the place. I do not know any info about schools - so I left it blank. Artists' community. Shopping is wonderful. Restaurants galore. Near Gulfport with more of the same."
