About this House

La Casa Feliz - a one-of-a-kind historic ranch house is available now!

We're looking for our next great tenant at this beautiful old house. 'La Casa Feliz' forms part of our Hillcrest property (that's the street in Leucadia, not the neighborhood in San Diego) where we also have a 9-unit apartment building. We've done a lot of work on the house in the past year to bring it up to date while retaining its quirky charm.

The house was built circa 1950 and features three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. In the photos you'll see Saltillo floors, exposed wood beams, skylights, multiple French doors, an open-plan layout and large galley kitchen. Not to mention that HUGE yard, one of the biggest in Leucadia.

The bedroom at the front of the house (with the half bath) is perfect for a home office, leaving two full bedrooms and bathrooms on the other side. There's a laundry room off the kitchen (washer and dryer are included) and there's a pantry in there as well. There is ample parking outside (3 reserved spaces) plus a large, two-car garage.

    "The neighborhood is a mix of retired people and new families. It’s not as communal as other cities I’ve lived in with many people driving in and out of the community and then staying inside or in their backyard. The gates parks prohibit kids meeting there unless they belong to an association. It’s odd to see a gated park that children cannot play on , meet new kids that live across the street, etc. I’m used to larger cities where there are more public places to gather, meet your neighbors, and create a stronger community."
