The availability to drain and plant the impoundments annually, as well as adjacent farmland and close proximity to Red River, make this a great duck hunting place. An irrigation well also aids in flooding one of the impoundments to ensure that you can have water year in and year out.The planted and existing hardwood timber on the property provide much-needed cover as well as food for the awesome deer population. The owners have taken many nice deer on the property and with the planted trees at acorn-producing age, will only get better and better. The levees are planted in winter grass that greens up after October and last throughout the winter creating some huge annual feeding areas for deer, creating food plot areas that you don't even have to plant! There is a beautiful creek bottom on the property with some tall cypress trees creating a picturesque landscape and a great place to hang a bow stand.It's hard to say if this is a better deer or duck hunting place, but one thing is for sure, this is an outdoorsman's paradise.
