N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGranville Public Elementary Schools offers a decent school system managed by an astonishingly dis-engaged and uninspired principal and leadership team. The district needs to break out of the small-town mindset and evolve into the [mid]-21st century or students will be left behind and parents from Columbus and surrounding areas will seek alternatives instead of relying on the school's now outdated and inaccurate reputation as being top-notch. As just a few examples, the school's progress is tempered by an ineffectual and dis-involved principal, too much focus on arbitrary standardized testing, a laughably insecure and poorly managed student drop-off/pickup process, no movement to embrace new teaching philosophies and school policies (from blended learning to digital citizenship), an utter lack of diversity, and an inexplicable reluctance to take advantage of every possible opportunity to provide the best possible learning experience for students. We moved to Granville because we had high expectations for the school system, and even at the early elementary level we have been very disappointed. This may have historically been one of the best school districts in the state, but it is very quickly being left behind. If you've ever seriously considered moving to Granville "for the great schools," think again. There is nothing progressive or inspired to find here. 3 stars is more than fair.Parent Review7y ago - Granville High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGranville High School is an excellent school. The academics offered in Granville prepare the students for a success in college. The students consistently get high scores on the SAT and ACT tests and are admitted into the most exclusive schools. The school offers a range of sports and clubs. The band/orchestra and drama (including stage and lighting) are well recognized. The town of Granville is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I love living just outside of town where I have quiet and a large lot but can run into Granville to participate in the festivals, run on the bike path, go to the parks and see people I know every time I go into town.Parent Review10y ago - Granville Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAn excellent school using proven approaches to instruction. My child’s teachers have been Dedicated and skilled professionals. This is our second year in the district and I’ve gotten this impression of all 5 teachers to which my two boys have been assigned.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 269 Park Ridge Ln.
