This school is horrible. I wish I was able to pull my child from it but unfortunately it is not an option. The communication is non exisistent. We never even laid eyes on the 2nd grade teacher until awards ceremony and was never able to reach them. Barely hear from the one now or others in the past. The principal is extremely standoffish. I have not received the weekly calls in forever after giving my phone number numerous times. I can't get a straight answer on who to get to set up the powerschool or whatever it is called. Ms. Mathison Williams was the face of that school and she deservedly was promoted to principal elsewhere but it was all this school had going. Just look at the test scores! Then they just let certain students harrass and bully and do absolutely nothing about it. Please tell me how Orange County schools can possibly be the best. Not possible. If you have the ability to send your child elsewhere or homeschool do it.

Orange middle schools treatment of special needs children is sub par and negligent along with most of the rest of Orange County schools. As someone with bipolar disorder and went to orange middle school ( it was CW Stanford at that time) I am disgusted at the accounts I have heard of mistreatment and outright disparity in treatment between neurodivergent and neurotypical children. Do NOT send your kid here if they have any kind of mental health problems

My child did very well at school after transferring from a Charlotte area charter school.

We’ve bounced around 2 different public schools and even a private school until HES. The school is amazing from the top to the bottom. We have two kids at HES finishing up their 2nd year there one kid with an IEP and one without and they both love it there.
