This school is horrible. I wish I was able to pull my child from it but unfortunately it is not an option. The communication is non exisistent. We never even laid eyes on the 2nd grade teacher until awards ceremony and was never able to reach them. Barely hear from the one now or others in the past.
Posted by a parent on 5/24/2025My kid loved this school in 2nd and 3rd grade. He had an excellent, seasoned teacher in 2nd and a brand new teacher in 3rd and loved them both and made good friends. He entered 2nd grade a bit behind in reading and ended 3rd grade as a top reading and math student. The school welcomes family before

The few teachers that actually taught me at this school were the ones with the least experience and were treated the worst. The school had little to no "social emotional support" for students and failed to support students who were falling behind

The teachers, staff and parents seem engaged with all of the kids, and the principal sets a high expectation of professionalism and success. While the school building itself is a little tired, the staff make up for it in positive energy, an amazing library, and engaging classrooms where kids appear to thrive. As a former K-12 teacher and a current education professor, I have very high standards regarding my child's education. Pinewoods definitely exceeded those expectations with their quality educators and thoughtful communication and organization. Our child attended toddlers and primary (and after care) before we had to move out of state rather suddenly. The teachers, assistants, staff, and administrators were warm, loving, and attentive to our child's needs. Our child learned many life and academic skills, and was very happy there. We also appreciated that there was a clear procedure for everything--this organization made our lives easier.
