9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe selected Alcott specifically for the diverse learner program and our all of our expectations have been greatly exceeded. The support teachers, school psychologist and speech pathologist are top notch and have helped our son thrive. In addition, our daughter who does not require additional supports, has felt challenged and engaged and is also thriving. There is an amazing community of teachers and families who support the school. The principal is an effective leader and is thoughtful and kind while still creating high standards for the entire school. The school clerk and security guard make all feel welcome and safe. We absolutely love Alcott and the entire community.Parent Review5mo ago - Lincoln Park High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDon’t go to lp if you care about your education. There are some AMAZING teachers but only 1/6 of your teachers will be good. A lot of my time at school was not spent learning or doing anything. There is a lack of structure and nothing is enforced, which was technically a benefit, but also had bad effects. There are pros and cons and I have very mixed feelings about my experience at Lincoln park. I felt like I had a lot of freedom but the school itself feels so much like prison. Many many issues with schedules, the actual schedule itself is terrible because its the same 8 classes everyday. Ive had both 3rd and 7th period lunch and it was miserable having to be starving all day. It feels very self directed and you can do whatever you want. THERE ARE CONSTANTLY SCANDALS AND INCIDENTS. I find it comedic and entertaining at this point but there are so many things going on. Lincoln park IS a fun high school but only if you are social and have friends. Administration is really just lacking in so many areas. This school is A JOKEEE but I love it. Hate it tho. Idk. I wouldn’t want to go to lane or jones or anywhere else though!!!!!Other Review1y ago - Check out schools near 2600 N Lakeview Ave #1U.

"I love this neighborhood. The tree lined streets and unique houses make it very enjoyable year round. It’s very central to many neighborhoods in Chicago making it easy to get to Wicker Park, Lakeview, Downtown, and the Lake Path. For being a big city, it’s a very quiet neighborhood.
