This urban garden oasis located in the bustling heart of Silver Lake is something very special. Surrounded by popular spots such as Barbrix, Speranza, and Tomato Pie, this craftsman house, with modern updates by architect/owner, is also located near Trader Joe's and Gelson's for incredibly convenient grocery shopping. The house is located directly along a vibrant and bustling street with virtually everything you need within walking distance.

The house has two bedrooms and is ideal for a couple or a single person wanting a separate office space. Features include an outdoor deck at the rear of the property, and an outdoor soaking tub that is accessible either from the rear bedroom or a stair in the back yard. The front bedroom includes sliding glass doors that open out to the garden, making this an ideal office space. The kitchen includes a custom built in dining area, and the living room includes custom steel shelving.

There is a parking space along the street in front of the building for parking (essentially blocking what was the driveway into the property) that has been used by Owners and tenants for years. The rental also includes a gated parking spot approximately one block away that may be used when needed.

  • Vhr7r74px6
"Many young families live here and kids sometimes play on a few of the off streets. It is close to the freeway, so some streets are quite busy"
  • DJ H
"Silver Lake is a very dog friendly neighborhood & there are many parks around that allow dogs. Most businesses are cool with you bringing your dog in with you. "
  • Griffin.walmsley

"My office and my daughter’s school are both within a 10 minute drive, so the commute is fine. Traffic can be a little congested at rush hours but mostly it’s fine."
  • Trulia User
"The best, most unique, most down to earth neighborhood in LA. West coast flair with east coast vibes. "
  • Trulia User
"Road construction slows my commute. A 15 minute commute has become a half hour. More people could work remotely a few days a week to reduce traffic. "
  • Trulia User
"Lovely location, friendly area. Great light very beautiful place to live. Lots of cafes grocery stores "
  • Trulia User
"Lots of activities and good people. Local shopping, very supportive of each other. Great yoga and outdoor green spaces."
  • Trulia User
"Halloween is pretty awesome. Your can see the Dodger Stadium fireworks. I mostly feel safe walking around the neighborhood while my little girl rides her bike, sometimes there are cars that drive too fast but for the most part everyone is looking out for each other. "
  • Trulia User
"Día de los muertos , sunset triangle, farmers market, walkability not sure what Else to say, I have lived here for 10 years and even though it’s a little gentrified I still love it. I know a lot of my neighbors and I love how diverse communities"
  • Trulia User
"its the perfect mix of city and community. im honestly not sure why you would live anywhere else. also, a 100 character minimum is really annoying. not sure how long you have to type to say not a lot at all that no one will read."
  • Trulia User
"There is a school not too far from the area, great dog park nearby, farmer’s market on the weekends, great restaurants, great friendly neighbors, young families with young children and pets… "
  • Trulia User
"Farmer’s Market on the weekends. Great taco trucks in the neighborhood. Not sure what other activities are happening around the area anymore. COVID changed the neighborhood considerably. Crime went up, homelessness became a huge issue, burglaries… etc."
  • Trulia User
"Great public school managed by parents . It is a progressive neighborhood with art and culture at its forefront. Not as diverse as it should be. But seeking diversity as a community. And although it has become more affluent over the last two decades there is still an element of the original character of the neighborhood. "
  • Trulia User
"Quiet friendly neighbors. Love that everyone is always out walking around. Safe neighborhood. Streets are small but no one is speeding through too fast. "
  • Trulia User
"There are coyotes abound, beware of them when you are put walking your dogs. Especially around the area along Apex between Fargo and Cove. But the great news for dogs is a stellar dog park down at the reservoir, with separate areas for small and large dogs. "
  • Trulia User

I have a dog and everyone knows his name around my community. The people I meet in my community are some of the most kind, genuine people I am proud to share a neighborhood with. "

  • Matthewaporta
"I work from home or I commute to LAX. There is a lot of cut through traffic in Silverlake that makes living here more difficult. "
  • Rebecca J.
"It’s safe-ish but it’s still a city. Be careful of where you let your kids go unsupervised. I’m a 27 y/o woman and I’ve been accosted by creeps on a semi regular basis."
