  • Robin F. Gainey
"Lots of dogs on the walking path. Lots of places for dogs to relieve themselves, as long as the pet owners pick up. A couple of nice parks nearby."
  • Robin F. Gainey
"Have lived here for 6 years, on a boat in Lake Union. Not as safe at night as it once was, but walking distance or transit to downtown. The homeless population has been cleaned up, but it IS an election year."
  • Trulia User
"Difficult to get to first hill hospitals via public transit. Great neighborhood for walking, biking and great parks."
  • Trulia User
"This neighborhood is calm but very centralized. I love that it’s close to South Lake Union and also the Space Needle. You can also hop on the freeway pretty easily! "
  • Trulia User
"This neighborhood has lots of young professionals. Not a huge family neighborhood, but quite a lot of dogs "
  • Maria M.
"all is near ,close to the downtown and the supermarkets, it's the lake and the beach ,there is a playground too"
  • Iwalani K.
"fine. nothing to work towards but a good way starter city neighborhood. there's a nice view and it's easy to get to i5 "
  • Ashley L.
"Bus lines are everywhere and it is close to the streetcar. Easy walking to lots of shops and restaurants. Commute increases during peak traffic times. The area around Mercer is the worst. "
  • Ryan T.
"It’s a very busy place and if your dogs aren’t accustomed to that then it can be very difficult to walk around with them."
  • Stormydean98
"Very easy commuting to downtown and Fremont. Short work to catch rapid ride for further north Seattle. "
  • Christi B.
"There are plenty of dogs in the neighborhood. Unfortunately there isn’t a good park anywhere close. "
  • Gabriel G.
"Don’t move here if you have kids. This is a loud area with hobos galore. Not kid friendly and not conducive to peace"
  • Kiel K.
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 4 years. It’s the best central location you can get in downtown Seattle without living in an apartment. This neighborhood would be great for small children, but not once they are old enough to be outside alone. "
  • Quinncr
"Not much lawn space however many dogs still walked. Dog park nearby on Dexter. Dogs well accepted at restaurants nearby."
  • Nkjones07
"Westlake is a very dog friendly neighborhood. Many of the neighbors own dogs and are dog lovers. Most dog owners clean up after their pets with the exception of a few. "
  • Mike H.
"diverse friendly neighborhood with easy access to everything. people walk their dogs and smile.. Well maintained yards and sidewalks "
  • Jonn
"This will be the third year that we live on Dexter Ave. With easy access to anywhere via Aurora Connections to the north and I-5 connections to the east, it's a superb location to get around the city. There are finally some great restaurants moving into the area and at night it's super chill and quiet. It's mostly apartment living, but there are some homes as you head north on Dexter!"
