5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMoody Middle is a great place to send your child. The administration and teachers work hard to provide a learning environment that supports all students. I have absolute confidence that my child will be prepared to transition to the next level.Parent Review2y ago - Moody Jr High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son and I relocated from Georgia. He has been in virtual classrooms since March 2020. I was concerned that the transition back into the classroom would be difficult. I spoke to his instructors to let them know that not only was he a new student, he was transitioning. They gave him a bit more attention to make sure he was active in class and handling the pressure well. The teachers are great and give him as much attention as he needs. The principal makes sure that we are informed and very active with me.Parent Review2y ago - Moody High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMoody High School is a joke. I’m thinking about moving and taking them out of this school system. The principle believe whatever a teacher tells him and doesn’t listen to the children. My child was kicked out of the Coronation ball Saturday because they rather assume something that stead of listening to the truth. But it’s ok because I have a lawyer on stand by and fox 6 gone hear about this. I bet y’all listen then.Parent Review1y ago - Moody Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy husband and I love Moody Elementary School! We moved from Leeds too Moody for a better school. We are happy that we made the move and everyone at Moody Elementary School made our transition very easy. We held our son back a year because we felt he did not get a proper first grade education in the Leeds school. that is not to say that the Leeds school system was all of the problem though. Our son was diagnosed with ADD but it was his school teacher at Moody that helped us become more aware of his behavior and she showed true concern for him unlike his teacher last year. after his diagnosis we worked with the teacher to help him adjust to medication and a new way of learning. Our son is a different child and a much happier kid. his teacher was very patient with him and communicated with us on a regular basis. My husband and I are both working parents and the entire staff has been very accommodating to us and our busy schedules. I have not seen any favoritism and in fact when our son was bullied by another student they took it very seriously and worked tirelessly to ensure his safety. We are above and beyond satisfied with the teachers and faculty.Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 2432 Blueberry Dr.

"My commute is 30 mins, often hindered by trains and school traffic. Not the best. Convenience to shopping is great though. If you work in Birmingham you have to leave extra early to make sure you get where you’re going on time. "

"There are residents of all ages and it is very safe and the people are nice and keep there houses in good repair and nice lawns. It is reasonably priced and is a nice neighborhood of all races and ages to live. There are nice parks and shopping for essentials is convenient. It is safe to walk my dogs at night even downtown it also has dog friendly places that I can take my dogs with me to have a beer and listen to live music with confidence of being safe. It is a family oriented community but it is not the best place to live if you haven’t any family or longtime friends here. It is a difficult place to make friends If you are single and not from here and retired."

"I live in Cahaba Hills, we are next to new Grand River Mall, one block from multi-million dollar new school system (Leeds own), near new park, quiet neighborhood, walking distance to Bass Pro Shop and Barber Motorsports Park. Area is growing quick. Easy access to Hwy 119 to 280 or straight to 459 and I20."

"I have been a home owner in Leeds since 1979. It is a quiet town with great new schools. The sports programs offered are very good in the schools as well as little league. Getting to downtown or 280 only takes about 20 minutes. There is a new shopping mall, Bass Pro Shop and plenty of restaurants. The city has two excellent parks for children. Plus, one park has a mile or 1/2 mile walking track. The Civic Center offers a place to work. There are other gyms to joins as well. It is a great place for families because The Leeds schools are no longer a part of the Jefferson Co School system. It is now called Leeds City because they pulled out of Jefferson Co and built a new middle school and high school. The football team won state two years in a row. Plus, the basketball team also took state in 2010. Leeds is only about 125 miles to Atlanta and I-20 runs within a couple of miles of anywhere in the town. Interstate 459 is just a few miles away where it connects to I-65 as well as I-59. Downtown thrives and has plenty of businesses for people to shop. We even have a great hardware store where the employees will help you with all of you questions. I can't praise Leeds enough."

"As a resident of 7 years in Leeds I can say I find it handy to the city via I-20 or Hwy 78 (Crestwood Blvd). Quiet, safe, affordable living in a growing area where you're sure to retain value in the coming years. Leeds Park is an asset for walking, playground. Eastern area is new growth direction but easier to navigate to Birmingham than 280 or I-65. "
