What Locals Say about Crestwood North

  • Trulia User
"The first time I drove to this neighborhood, I was a little worried until I was actually in the neighborhood. The outskirts don’t seem the best, but this area is so cute. All of our neighbors are friendly and everyone keeps their houses/landscaping up to par. A lot of families live here, and everyone seems to have a dog (which I adore). It’s fairly calm. I always feel safe. We’re so close to downtown; Restaurants, stores and shops are endless and easily accessible. My biggest and only complaint would be the roads. They need some major TLC, but if you’ve ever lived in Birmingham, you’d probably already expect that. Commuting to work in Vestavia normally takes between 16-22 minutes. Not terrible at all. Overall, can’t recommend this area enough!!"
  • Aisha T.
"Minutes from downtown and UAB this neighborhood offers convenient access to all major interstates and highways. "
  • Mgrubb
"My son and Daughter-in-law purchased here in 2015. There was a lot of homes being restored at the time and it seemed to be attracting a lot of young professionals commuting downtown to the hospitals, university campus and businesses. Over the years the community has continued to grow and thrive. It has rich history in the variety of homes and the materials and styles. The blending of old and new is everywhere and we enjoy catching up with their neighbors and just exploring the neighborhood. Everyone seems to have a well used front porch and willing to greet you with a smile and a wave. "

  • "I lived in Crestwood for about a year (renting) and LOVED the neighborhood. The people who live here take pride in their neighborhood, value community involvement and are always looking out for each other. You cannot walk for 5 minutes in the neighborhood without seeing at least 3 or 4 other people out walking their dogs. I just wanted to write this review as i miss the area and hope to find another one like it in Atlanta! "
