5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated HPHS in 2004. I had a great experience at Holly Pond. Most of the teachers really care about you and try to break through to the students who don't care about their own education or maybe have a rough home life.Other Review13y ago - Welti Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWelti is a great school - overall. Children are not just taught - they are respected for their individual abilities and treated with kindness and positive regard. There is no disrespectful behaviors among the children that is left unattended, no disrespect to the adults - which leaves a feeling of content for me as a parent. Each child is supplied with the needed supplies through parent supported efforts to raise money for teachers to have the materials readily available for every student. We have a great principal, wonderful teachers and PTA organization, the lunchroom workers, and support staff are tops. Let's not forget, great parent participation.. and per research, we have a 13 : 1 student teacher ratio, who could ask for more. Thank you Welti !!!Parent Review13y ago - Holly Pond Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has been at Holly Pond HS for a few years and quite frankly, it's been a disaster! The bullies run rampant most of the time (teachers included). The so-called administrators are normally completely unprofessional, condescending and at times down-right-mean! Much like the student bullies who often run rampant without consequence. I suggest you research home school groups and stay away from this Failing public school!Parent Review8y ago - Holly Pond Middle School

"There are many community events and festivals. Lots of sports and programs to keep kids active. Too many safe and fun summer camps to pick from. Kids can walk safely to and from schools. Beautiful historic town. The city and a few counties have recent become wet which has been great economically. Fun but not too wild night life. Busy but flowing traffic during rush hours. Public transportation is available. Great health care and child care facilities. Churches on every corner!! And top of the line education programs in the state. Safe neighborhoods with low crime rates. Great place to raise kids."
