About this House

The charm of an older home is sometimes hard to beat. Step back into a time when families gathered together, kids played outside, and afternoons could be spent fishing in your own pond. This 3-bedroom (flex room was used as 4th), 2-bath brick home sits on 2.30 acres surrounded by mature trees and offers plenty of room both inside and out. Inside, you'll find character throughout, including real hardwood flooring in much of the home, generously sized rooms, and a beautiful wood staircase that serves as a standout feature. The flexible floor plan allows you to make the space your own, whether you need a light-filled Florida-style room, formal dining area, spacious mudroom, home office, or additional gathering space. Outside, enjoy a large back deck covered by a pergola, perfect for relaxing or entertaining. The covered front porch offers another inviting place to enjoy your morning coffee, visit with friends, or simply unwind. A large driveway provides ample parking for family and guests without feeling crowded. With 2.30 acres, mature trees, a pond, and plenty of room for everyone, this property offers the space, character, and charm that can be so hard to find in newer homes. Close to I-75 and only 3 miles from the Robert R. Martin By-pass!

"There is a lot of traffic in and out with not many big yards for them. A lot of concrete and in the middle of downtown "
  • Jtcar33.5
"We drive 15 minutes into town. We have a general store about 5 minutes away. The other side of town is just 20 minutes from where we live. Drives to surrounding areas are 30 min to an hour away."
  • Trulia User
"How nasty is it. I guess by my family kinda being the only black family in the neighborhood I look at things differently on how they treat my family."
  • Dawncochran1704
"Wonderful, amazing, easy access to I-75; great neighbors, sidewalks, large 1 acre plus lots, residents keep the subdivision nice"
  • Trulia User
"The neighborhood don’t have a problem with dog owners. I am able to walk my dog without anyone saying anything about my animal. "
  • Faron Collins
"Lots of dog walkers in my neighborhood and half pickup their dogs poop but usually they poop in area where people don’t walk "
  • Janiefr9
"there are live music events at the pavilion area at the mall just a few blocks away during summer months . and there is a nice park in town with a lake for fishing and a pool and water park and golf course and baseball fields and soccer fields a playground and dog park and walking trails. they have some nice scheduled functions like July 4th fireworks etc. its just maybe 3 miles from my home"
  • Donald C. W.
"great but no buses for real anywhere taxis are slow getting to you need a car to make it work to commute to work"
  • Brandyblackburn5
"Everyone seems to have dogs and are always out walking them. Everyone is very friendly and respectful."
  • Janiefr9
"its pretty safe. im not scared outside at any hour. there are some nice parks in richmond well maintained and family oriented. there are a decent amount of stores and restaurants for the size town. having Eastern ky univ hear keeps things relatively vibrant. in the same county there us also berea college which is very artsy crafts with interesting festivals and local music. also 20 miles away in the next county is univ of ky and a larger town with lots of shopping and entertainment. an airport and Keeneland racetrack lots of beautiful horse farms and of course bourbon distilleries since bourbon is only distilled in ky with water filtered through limestone. Boonsboro state park is between Richmond and Lexington where Daniel Boone built the second fort and settlement (i think) in 1792 in Kentucky. there is a replica fort and demonstrations of what life was like. the kentucky River also runs beside it with a nice campground and water stuff boating and fishing. "
  • Dani M.
"Very dog friendly neighborhood. Dogs do not roam freely. We feel safe walking our dog in this neighborhood."
  • Annalisa B.
"People walk their dogs all the time here. Plus we have a couple of dog parks. Most everyone loves to greet you and your dog while walking. "
  • Ashlyn B.
" Kids are always out, and people are outside and friendly. Very nice neighborhood to be in! I have lived here for 2 years now"

  • James H.
"Nosie and shy.. they complain but not to your face. lots of people dumbster diving..... But..... You don't see many homeless people."
  • Charlieandsusan A.
"I live in North Madison county, public transportation is really not available. Uber or Lyft or a taxi would be an option. "
  • Jamie P.
"I work with a family here 2-3 times a week and it's a well maintained and friendly neighborhood. It's very hilly, and in a country setting. You can hear the highway traffic if you're outside, but it's plenty far enough away for safety. "
  • Genevachang
"its hard to tell how safe it really is. some areas look nice but they are right next to very shady looking neighborhoods."
  • Angelica C.
"You drive or you walk. No public busses or transit. There is a taxi service but no one really uses it because they’re too expensive "
  • Jeriallison
