This is a very diverse growing school. The staff is excellent and the majority of the teachers really care about the kids and go out of their way to help the students succeed. There are many club, sport and activity opportunities too. A school can be what you make it— but Two Rivers is an excellent public program in a fabulous school district. Whether you are traditional college bound, trade school/ community college or planning to enter the workforce right out of high school, Two Rivers has options for you. They have several unique programs and partnerships with community employers, college in the schools classes, and even opportunities for student driven education and research work through Pivot Interactives (a Discovery Education Company that operates in the school building and was started by former teachers at the school).

Both my kids attended Mendota and we had a wonderful experience. Great involvement with community and teachers faculty and staff are all top-notch. Principal would greet students outside every morning, very personable, and they had Friday walkathons where students and parents would walk laps around the school before school. Just a neat place with good folks that excels at turning out little junior good folks!

I am a current student at Friendly Hills. This school is awful, don’t get me wrong it has a really nice layout and is a nice looking school but that’s about all it has going for it. They have anti-bullying stuff they always talk about and do nothing about it. Other kids literally put there hands on other kids who aren’t they’re friends and lunch them in middle of class and teachers don’t care they are just glued to there phone. I also hate how they don’t allow AirPods. Listening to music actually helps us be more productive so if they care so much they would let us. And the lunches are absolutely horrendous. They give you the main thing which is hardly anything and then they give you watered down milk and carrots, no joke that’s it, maybe some yogurt if your lucky and all the food is artificial it’s gross they give you maybe 200 calories at max. And they could get better lunches but they wasted money on tvs in the lunchroom and other rooms that don’t get used, they do a lot of unnecessary things like lgbtq club. And also they just do nothing about bullying
