Our experiences were great, seeing the payoff as my son is now in college. I believe that with any situation, what you put into it you will get in return. Students and parents have to do the work required to be successful.

Both my kids had good experiences at Bexley Middle School. It's a supportive environment with many resources available for students, parents and teachers. The administration and staff care deeply about student success and are tuned into how challenging these years are for many students. The question we considered was how good of an education would Bexley Middle School provide to our children? Here is the most objective evidence I can offer regarding academic outcomes. Our kids went to school from pre-k through 6th grade in another community, outside of Ohio. When we moved to Bexley, we were concerned that they were behind. Test scores confirmed that they were in fact substantially behind Bexley's mean standardized testing scores. Fast forward to today, they both are in high school in Bexley. Their standardized scores are above the mean and they are thriving. Am I impressed with the school's teachers and their commitment to our kids? You bet I am! Would I recommend Bexley schools to families considering a community to settle in? Absolutely!

My daughter attended Montrose and I have been a substitute teacher there for the past few years. My daughter's experience wasn't perfect. With a learning disability, her grades were not always great, and she didn;t see eye-to-eye with all of her teachers. That said, Montrose is a great school in a great district for students of every learning ability and style. (I have subbed at all grade levels, subject areas, and intervention services.) The best illustration of Montrose's success is the fact that of the three elementary schools in Bexley, Montrose is the only one at which I have seen parents request that their children stay even after moving to another part of town.
