10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to this neighborhood because of Boulder Creek. It's the end of our second year at this school, and we are so happy with it!A-rated, award-winning, and named #1 K-8 in AZ for two years in a row for both public AND charter! The community is vibrant and joyful. The school (and surrounding neighborhood!) is very safe for the floods of children walking home every day. The teachers are passionate and good at what they do. The gifted program is engaging. The SPED support is vast. The PTO is huge and super involved. The school/PTO/community events are enriching for the entire family, and there is so much school pride. Our new principal is a strong, dedicated, and warm leader, and she's "one of us"—born and raised in Phoenix, an ASU grad, and with almost 30 years of service to PVUSD as an educator. My husband and I are AZ natives and products of the PV district ourselves, so we love to see it.Go Bobcats!Parent Review1y ago22 Reviews - Pinnacle High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m really disappointed with the current state of Pinnacle . While it has the resources of a large school, it’s far too big to provide a quality experience. Students are treated like just another number, and any sense of community is completely lost in the crowd. The biggest red flag is the teacher turnover; staff are quitting left and right, leaving students with a revolving door of long-term subs who aren't familiar with the curriculum. It’s hard for kids to stay engaged or build relationships when the teachers don't even stay for a full semester. I would look elsewhere if you’re looking for stability and a supportive environmentOther Review3w ago27 Reviews - Mountain Trail Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, there’s nothing more painful than watching your child be treated as if they don’t belong. My child deserved better. What they experienced wasn’t just neglect—it was targeted, dismissive, and racially charged, often at the hands of other students, while the school stood by.We came to this school hoping for opportunity, growth, and care. Instead, we found a system that consistently overlooked and minimized their pain. Multiple events left emotional scars that my child will carry for years. This isn’t about a single moment. It’s about a pattern—a culture—that leaves students of color feeling invisible, unheard, and unworthy. To other parents: pay attention. Ask questions. Watch how your child is treated when no one thinks you’re watching. And to the school: I hope you do better. I hope you start listening. Because no child should ever walk into a classroom and feel like they don’t belong.Parent Review10mo ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near 2340 E Chama Dr #2.

"We have dogs and we love the dog stations around the neighborhood that supply poop bags and a receptacle for full poop bags. That helps keep the area clean. Also, there are plenty of nice sidewalks so you don’t have to walk on the road. So much safer!"

"Lots of wild desert areas here. Coyotes are common to see. It's quiet. Which says quite a bit considering we are so close to the freeway."

"My family has lived here since 1999 and we find everything a family or people at any age could want. Great public schools, clean, safe, friendly neighborhoods, easy highway access and numerous restaurants and entertainment locations within a few miles. Many of the major hospitals supporting Phoenix are located within a few miles; Mayo (2), Paradise Valley (5), and Scottsdale (10). Many miles of trails supporting hiking and biking. At one time this was a road bikers paradise ... not so much now with all the traffic developed north of our location."

"My third sale in Boulder Creek. What a delightful pocket community snugged up against the Mountains, yet immediate access to the 101 and 51 for fast transportation to Scottsdale, downtown Phoenix or, well, anywhere. Happy community of friendly neighbors who love living around an elementary and junior high school which are the center of the planned community. Costco a mile away, tons of shopping, especially Desert Ridge Regional Shopping Center is one exit away."

"I've lived in the neighborhood for several years and love the mountain reserve close by for walking and hiking, appreciate the community involvement with neighbors and love the easy access to the freeway as well as Desert Ridge and City North for shopping, dining and entertainment."
