1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI just read my past review of this school from July 2015. To be honest after everything I have heard about the school now I came to the conclusion that students and some parents are placing the blame on the teachers because they do not want to admit to themselves their child is 90% of the problem. Yes, some (and when I say some I am only referring to maybe 2 or 3) teachers may need to stop lowering their level to the students when it comes to confrontation with students, but this school can still be a top school. Do not be deterred from sending your child here because of a few bad seeds who prefer to cut class and bad talk the teachers. What the school needs to do is do what they were doing when my daughters attended here and that is to start weeding out the bad seeds. I did realize when my second daughter started to attend here there were so many students from Harlem here and guess where those students are now because they didn’t do what they were suppose to do when they attended here? Half of the females my daughter was friends with are now mothers at the ages 21. Half of the guys are with low paying jobs, still living with their mothers, or are in jail! So what we should blame the teachers for that too? My now 23 year old daughter graduated from this high school a half of a year early and has learned a lot. I mean she had a rough last year here because of her attitude and 1 teacher she just could not get along with, but other then that I’d say her time at the school was a success. She is in a high paying career making more than 3 times the NYC 15 dollar minimum wage. My other daughter left in grade 11 because we moved and she was hanging with the wrong (Harlem) kids. Don’t get me wrong, I am not suggesting people from Harlem are the cause of this school going down a bit, but the majority of the Harlem students that came into this school the year my second daughter started to attend were no bueno. My second daughter is now 21. She graduated a semester early from college. She still needs a little guidance here and there, but she can financially support herself. With that said I still like the school. Right now my son is in a school that is rated 7/10, but if I ever had to move back to NYC I would consider putting him in this school.Parent Review3y ago8 Reviews - Jhs 167 Robert F Wagner

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is absolutely horrible there are fights everyday and no one gets suspended but people get suspended for skipping afterschool that is optional and teachers don’t care about the students, the education sucks the environment sucks and there is so much harassment and bullying and the dean doesn’t do anything to prevent it honestly the worst decision of my life putting this school on my list. Also if your new there gonna try to make it all fun but once you reach 7th grade its hell.Student Review3w ago22 Reviews - East Side Elementary School, PS 267
