"Bike on trails to the gym. I walk to the grocery store nearby. Car only needed for shopping. Interstate is close but not close enough to hear the vehicles."
  • Debbieradmer
"I live across from Canon park. Most people do pick up after their dogs. Then there are those who don't. And, every once in a while there will be a stray dog. We have lived here for ten years. My girls have grown here from the time they were three and six. Both had always played at the park with no supervision. They learned to swim at the pool. Of course, you need to realize this is "felony flats" and to teach your children from the start what bad things are. There have been bums sleeping at the park. You don't bother them; they don't bother you. Anywhere you may go there is bad in this world. Realize this and you will be fine."
  • Richterrissa
"I lived there for 16+ years on and off. I loved it. You have a little city and a little country/farm at your fingertips. "
  • Katelynn P.
"Great area to live especially of you have elementary age children. walking distance to elementary school. Convenient Jolly Mart, and Bongs gas station, as well as home made Ice Cream shop all on Boone Ave. Great area to take walks alone or with pets or friends and family down to the River or around the neighborhood. Biking/ Walking trails. "
  • Aubriechristensen
"This is a wonderful family neighborhood. My children can walk to school, park and swimming pool. Downtown is within an easy bike ride, walk or bus ride. The centennial trail goes right through the neighborhood. The new Kendall Yards development provides great access to good restaurants, coffee shops, and a farmers market (all within walking distance!)."
  • Amanda S.
"During the summers theres a market night every Wednesday with food trucks, vendors and live music. There are a couple activities during the winter. The Marmot Art Gallery does First Friday every month."
  • Kristinareeves92
"Kendall yards- Close to everything. A little bit too well lit at night if you don’t have black out curtains. Nice neighbors."
  • Sschagwen
"I've owned my home for 20 years in West Central Spokane. This neighborhood has gone thru many upgrades. Central location is convenient a week as practical. Currently, this neighborhood has many homes and niches which are registered and or will be Historic Registry. "
  • Sschagwen
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 15 years now. I love my home and neighbors. Wouldn't live anywhere else. "
  • Devanie S.
"staying here temp. its not a bad place to live. easy access to the Hwy. and all the hospitals. downtown is just across the bridge."
  • Laura W.
"It's a good neighborhood. Noisy much of the time because of kids or people nearby working on cars and motorcycles. Crime rate has dropped significantly in recent years. Quick drive to downtown but it's not a bad walk. "
  • Cullen E.
"I've lived here for over four years now. The neighborhood was a little run down (maintenance) but has really turned around in the last few years! As the homes continue to improve, the neighborhood continues to grow together! "
  • Vicky P.
"I've lived here for many years, people are look out for each other, and friendly the locations is close to schools, shopping, buses, close to a flee market"
