About this House

OPEN HOUSE: Last week of May. Please contact us for details on date/time.

Lease start date: July 1st (possibly sooner; please inquire).

This studio apartment in our lovingly maintained 1906 home is approximately 400 square feet, with a separate entrance, open bedroom/office area, full kitchen, and 3/4 bathroom. Kitchen includes a full gas range, full size refrigerator, and plenty of storage. Please note there is no dishwasher or garbage disposal. A full sized washer and dryer as well as additional storage are available in the unfinished portion of the basement, with access through an interior door of the apartment. The house is in a great location, convenient to the Arboretum, Trader Joe's, Macrina Bakery, UW, transportation etc. - but this part of Capitol Hill is very quiet. Parking is easy to find on our street.

Our family, 2 adults and one cat- live upstairs, and as such we greatly value our tenant relationships. We have actively managed the apartment for 12 years. We are looking for another good fit, ideally a quiet, responsible person who might also be interested in trading house- and cat-sitting for reduced rent when we are out of town.

The apartment ceiling is ~ 6' 4" in most places, with a beam in the middle at about 5'6". This apartment may not be for you if you are extremely noise sensitive- this is an old home with floors that sometimes creak. That said, typical conversation level/TV noises do not travel between floors and we are considerate with our waking hours (normally 6am-10pm). We believe the perks of living here make it a great place for the right person. Please let us know if you have any questions and we are happy to answer.

Lease start date: July 1st
Lease duration: 1 year
Application fee: $20 (refundable if we do not move forward with your application)
Refundable Security Deposit: $990
Utilities (water, sewer, garbage, gas, electricity): $100/mo flat rate

Sorry, no pets.
Please contact us for more information and to get scheduled for out open house.

"The Madision Valley area has continued to improve over the 10 years I've watched it and with recent new resturant additions, all kinds of parks, and being a mile from downtown, there a few places as desireable to be in my opinioon."
