5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI 100% agree with this parent National would blow up my phone about my san needing to go to Saturday school for an absence he had an excuse for. I told the attendance lady that he would not be attending saturday school at the time I turned in his dr's excuse. My son no longer attends school here and I have less stress in my life. I went to the school board with my issues and nothing was ever done. Not surprised the same problems continues. They can continue to make the school look nice but until they get teachers who like their job and what they do the school will remain the same. Poor students they know no better.Parent Review11y ago - Sweetwater High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is amazing. I love the new principal and all the changes we have seen in the school. She empowers the teachers to do their best. The kids are happy, excited about different things happening weekly, and are good kids. All the parents I know only have great things to say.Parent Review4y ago - Check out schools near 230 E 30th St.

"There are no community events, at least any that I know of. I've been living here for over 10 years and the only community event this neighborhood has shared with each other is the occasional taco truck sale."

"I’ve lived here my whole life and can’t wait to get out! Lots of homeless and drugs everywhere. No parking in local apartments because it’s multiple families living in one house so they park everywhere. "

"I’ve lived here since 1982. My family has 3 generations graduate from Sweetwater High. It has come a long way in urban development. My street I grew up on used to be a dirt road where cowboys rode horses down and ice cream men rang their bell to let you know he’s near. Now it’s grown beautifully, less gangs and less graffiti, Great Police Department, they are good guys that care. "
