Overall its a wonderful school district. Like any other small town/district it has its issues, which mostly stems from the mentality of the parents and not the school district itself.

Love the atmosphere of.the school. Very supportiveand alot of opportunities for students.

I regret to say that I don’t recommend this school, but all the factors added up lead to that conclusion. First of all, staff do not listen to the children’s complaints. Most notably, the new principal has been a big issue among us students. She does not let you explain your problem and even if she does, the result of action being taken in unlikely. For example, a person I’m familiar with in constantly bullied and harassed for the fact they were born half deaf. Upon coming to the principal and asking for help when they didn’t stop, they simply did not care. Some fellow classmates assume it has something to do with the gender as male students participating in school events like sports are much more likely to receive help than others. In the rare case she does pay attention it’s always for the wrong things like punishing children for having fun at recess instead of the kids 2 steps away spitting racial slurs. The punishments range from over reactive to non-existent.Special needs students are not well taken care of from what I’ve seen. My friend has been directly instructed to stand in a corner isolated from everyone when he just wants to play. The staff is not good at handling issues and commotion is these ways which makes it an unsafe environment for kids, especially special needs or children of different race. Few teachers care for their students to the extent that they should. I personally speculate this is due to burnout as the school provides kids with a decent education but does not motivate them properly. Their grades go down, their behavior goes down, and teacher performance goes down. There should be correct measures set in place to ensure students are getting the help and advice they need, not just having the bravery to speak out. Give your students more motivation or test scores are bound to go down. Though I’m familiar with the environment, people, etc, I do not recommend this school.
