"Carmel is an incredibly convenient and practical place to live. The county seat is here, the DMV is here, there are two cinema complexes, a home depot, a hannaford, shop-rite, and a deccico's. There are all church denominations, and a Jewish temple in next door mahopac. there is lake fishing and boating, swimming, and lovely walking. there are dry cleaners, hair and nail places, easy access to metro north trains, route 84 and 684 and the taconic. There is horseback riding, nearby apple orchards and a local ski slope and outfitter, libraries and post offices - car washes and plenty of gas stations. There are law offices, CPA's, doctors and veterinarians, and there is the close-by Putnam Hospital and Mount Kisco Medical Group facilities. "
