    "This is a stable neighborhood with a recent uptick in crime. The residents are serious about working with local law enforcement and our alderman to report criminal activity."

    "I have lived in this area for approximately 7 years, and have nothing but good things to say about it. It is home to some of the best shopping experiences on the south side, along with many professionals and local, statewide, and national politicians. It boasts many local parks that sponsor nice events for all ages. It is also home to very nice independently owned stores and shops. It has a Walmart, Target, Jewel, Food 4 Less, and even a GARRETS POPCORN!!! You can walk to the movie theater, or pick up essentials or tools for your home from either Lowes, or Home Depot. You are a minute or two away from the expressway, including a train that gets you downtown in 15 minutes. It is home to many police officers and fireman, and experiences few major crime incidents. Like other parts of the city, most of the crime that this neighborhood experiences is from outsiders. My neighbors have been residents of this community for over 30 years, and state that there has never been a break in of any homes in the area. The local "classical" school is one of the best in the city. If you are thinking about moving to this area, I have one piece of advice for you. DO IT!!!"
