"I’m not sure we let our dogs run around we live too far away from town "
  • Helena Burkett
"I have lived in this neighborhood since I moved to Alaska seven years ago. It has been a great place for the kids to grow up. It is quiet and not very noisy. We see lots of Moose around here too. "
  • Zykcb9wbyv
"Amazing down the road! The KGB is a great road way to use to get to and from work which allows for spending less on gas and transportation "
  • A.pluth
"No sidewalks on most side streets, maintained in winter, lots of wildlife so fenced yards are better for kids."
  • Amy A.
"this area has become very busy. traffic is terrible. crime is on the upswing. most homes are nice, but have noticed drugs are on the rise with neighbors. "
  • Justine R.
"It’s a quick drive to lots of places and close to the schools. "
  • Zack
"Loose dogs everywhere. Just meandering and making the job of letting your own dogs outside, very interesting. "
  • Jriley156
"KGB Rd. Is dangerous. Until they redo this road it’s scary to drive to and from work. Especially during winter. "
  • Omairarivera
"We have no public transportation in Wasilla, Alaska. We do have taxis. KGB is full of traffic constantly."
  • Msliznbell
"You must drive to get anywhere. Very woodsy area. We are about 8 miles from the center of Wasilla and about 45 minutes from Anchorage. There is no public transportation in Wasilla. "
  • Msliznbell
"Some dogs are escape artists and run the street, pooping in other peoples yards. The owners don’t bother to try to clean up. It’s too woodsy. Most people are very respectful with their animals. Walking them on leash and making sure they aren’t causing others problems."
  • Msliznbell
"Knik-Fairview is a small area located just outside of Wasilla, Alaska. Elementary schools are close within the neighborhoods. High schools and middle schools are located in Wasilla, right across the street from each other. "
  • Linzerkylenewby
"Lots of water access and great playgrounds for kids to choose from. Quick trip to town without all the traffic. "
  • Madison W.
"It's a great place t raise a family and take walks its very private away from riff raff and makes you feel safe"
  • Ema F.
"It’s super far away from everything. We are way out in the boondocks. Not a great place for a commuter, but still a lovely place to live. Settlers Bay is a beautiful high-end neighborhood but KGB is a very dangerous road. The state plans on putting more funding into making the road safer, so in the future it won’t be so bad. "
  • Madison W.
"I have little to no issues on my commute everyday. I really like that I have options to get to work either via KGB or the parks hwy."
  • Alice28dad
"you see people walk there dog run with there dogs . very dog friendly place . my dogs love it here . not only is it safe place but fun trials dog parks and lot of stuff to do ."
  • Ema F.
"We don’t really have community events. It’s pretty rural and there’s not enough people to even get together to have an event. "
  • Abbysince1992
"The commute is easy and you have two different ways to get into town. Traffic can be rough in the evening and morning if you don’t time your leaving and returning well."
  • Sacha F.
"The beautiful scenery right by the bluff. We are far enough away that we still have land and your neighbors arent on your shoulders"
  • Kilee M.
"Neighborhood Halloween event is very popular, community garage sales, event at the neighborhood golf course. "
  • Jw
"KGB is a very busy and dangerous road. Not only to drive on, but to live 100 feet from. There are lots of families around here, which is great, but the volume of traffic makes it a bit much for any parent to let their kids out and play. "
  • Mandi P.
"We don’t have any community events that I am aware of. We have things at the school for our oldest like family night but that is all. "
  • the real OG
"Roads tend to be narrower, and cars speed badly. I wouldn’t let my child walk down the road, especially in ā€œrush hourā€ traffic. "
  • Alankvl
"running into moose, or even worse, such as running into a bear. Most of the time don't see loose pets running around."
  • Cuthroughtflyman
"Nice and quite, good neighbors. Close to golfing, restaurants, health clinic on the hill and not too far from town."
  • Alankvl
"It is a peaceful neighborhood. Occasionally you'll see people walking dogs. You may hear roosters and even see horses."
  • Stegallchristine
"There are lots of dogs off leash and running around. Not all streets are adequate for walking our dogs."
  • Shreknfiona
"We’ve been in the neighborhood for 17 years. It has grown but still maintains a homey feeling. We know our neighbors and having the park is really nice. "
  • Yescavage
"This neighborhood is nice because of all the trees. I feel like there is good people in this area. I haven’t really had any major problems living in this area."
  • routeman48
"The problem with this area seems to be the infinite amount of W. Virginia hillbilly types who lurk about, making the decent hard working types second guess the actual value behind the beauty of the surrounding nature. The messes they like to cultivate in their yards are also a little unsettling. "
  • Rodster85
"I live in this area and absolutely love it. Quiet with a veiw and very friendly neighbors. Good spring water as well. "
