"Great place to grow a family. Very good school, next to the ferry for easy commute to San Francisco. Open spaces, super safe. Easy parking and friendly community."
  • Jeremy S.
"Pros: lovely and plentiful lawns and paths to walk around. Most pet owners are cordial and friendly. Wide variety of dogs to make friends with. Houses are big enough for large dogs. Cons: in my opinion, there arenโ€™t enough trash cans for waste disposal among the residences; the vast majority are on the major thoroughfares next to bus-stops. Also - there is the occasional pet owner who can get a bit squeamish around certain larger dog breeds, but this is seldom."
  • Galina M.
"There are many parks on Bay Farm Ireland, very bike friendly area, lots of playgrounds. Not much traffic, many families with children "
  • Patrice A.
"This area is good for kids and biking with beautiful views of the Sam Francisco. There is also a direct ferry to San Francisco. "
  • Warren
"Close to HB ferry, bike lanes and pedestrian walk paths along the shore. We have a fire station around the corner and near bus stops to take anyone to the main island, Bart and other transit system."
  • Gvongarv
"The neighborhood is very family oriented and is great for starting a family. Everyone is very nice and trustworthy. Bayfarm is a very safe place to live with great schools and food. Iโ€™ve lived on bayfarm for 15 years and have enjoyed every moment. Alameda is a fantastic city to be a part of. "
  • Kevin M.
"It is an island physically and it feels like a break from urban life even though high speed city life is literally minutes away."
  • Guy B.
"I live and work here and I can say that the quiet neighborhood feel with it's trees, open space, walking and biking trails is a peaceful retreat I haven't found anyone else in the Bay Area. Throw in the fact that we're just a 25-30 minute ferry ride to downtown SF, it's a perfect location with low crime and awesome public schools."
  • David F.
"This is the quietest and safest area In Alameda"
