2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school and I graduated last year. I was constantly bullied and when I went to administration they made it seem as though it was MY fault this happened and defend the bullies. Also, the principal never engages with students or parents unless it’s convenient at open house, assemblies, graduation, etc. However, I had really nice and supportive teachers overall. But, my mental health was damaged from feeling humiliated when I was bullied and was laughed at by a group of kids after something was thrown at my head. These administrators don’t care about your child’s wellbeing or mental health whatsoever! Glad I finally graduated from this place.Other Review3mo ago - Neil Armstrong Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is a rising fourth grader in the GATE program. She's absolutely performing at her highest capacity and is fully engaged. Her teachers are nurturing but push her to be her best. The principal is EXCEPTIONAL in her leadership skills, high expectations, and dedication. The athletic programs and clubs are excellent with high degrees of parental involvement. Children in this school are on the path to doing very well in high school, college and beyond. My only wish would be for more homework. My daughter doesn't have much to do once she gets home, so we supplement her learning with workbooks and apps.Parent Review10mo ago - Colin Powell Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis has been the absolute worse experience. Ever since my child started this school in the middle of 6th grade (transferred from Sutherland), he has cried and had multiple mental breakdowns. The teachers are EXTREMELY rude and degrade the students. I am stressed out regularly due to frustration of teachers not putting in grades, so my son is getting F's, although I can see that he turned the work in. The teachers do not communicate with parents or email them back. My niece attends the school as well and her mother is having the same experience. I do not recommend! Save yourself and your child the headache and stress!Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 22455 Lakeshore Dr.

"It's ok. People just need to learn to be considerate of others, especially after 11pm at night. Disturbing your neighbors that time of night with loud car music in the parking lot, shining your headlights into people's bedrooms, loud voices coming from you and your small children while walking to the buildings and once you're inside in the hallways shows no manners. Not everyone is on the same schedule, so you should think about how you would feel if your rest was disturbed. "
