We were a little hesitant sending our kids to such a big, diverse school. We had heard all the rumors of its problems. We sent 2 kids through Davidson. We could have gone private school but, ultimately, our kids wanted Davidson. We have been so happy with the school, the teachers, the community and the friendships my kids have developed. The diversity has been an advantage for them. It’s made them empathetic and fearless. This school has taught my kids more about the world than any middle school in Marin.

Our family loves Laurel Dell. Our son is entering 2nd grade next year, so his Elementary school experience has been a bit of a wacky one as both his Kindergarten and 1st grade years were affected by COVID closures. The principal and teachers have been extraordinary throughout the past two years. My son is performing at or above grade level, which is incredible considering half of his elementary education has been remote. The staff is dedicated to student safety, well-being, and academic success, and it shows. The Laurel Dell staff and parent community is loving and we have something very special here.

Loved my time at San Rafael High School! The teachers and admin are amazing - full of joy, humility, and a real passion for what they do. The sports and culture at SR are all about having that DAWG pride, having fun while improving - you can really feel the effort each department puts in.SR has all the resources for success and college readiness, including college-level programs that most schools don’t offer. Some teachers feel more like professors, bringing tons of real-world experience and success outside of education into the classroom.Athletics at SR are well impressive & push you to be your best, with teams like boys' & girls' swim, water polo, soccer, cross country, track, football, lacrosse, baseball, softball, volleyball, cheer, tennis, biking, and more all putting in serious work and representing that DAWG spirit. With newly renovated, state-of-the-art architecture, a top-tier field, and being the only high school in Marin with stadium lights, SR is a just and beautiful environment for students to experience learning in a modern, engaging space.They’ve also got unbeatable lunch options nearby like Montecito Plaza, Andy’s Market, Whole Foods, and more—so students always have solid choices.Most of my peers went on to great colleges—UCLA, Yale, USC, SDSU, SFSU, Cal Poly SL/Pomona, Dartmouth, Dominican UC Berkeley, Duke, Tufts, U of M, Cornell, Paris, UTD, SDSU, Long Beach, UCSB, Pepperdine, Santa Clara, UC Davis, UCSC, and more.Just an overall great school with great people, preparing students for the real world while making sure they enjoy the journey.
