8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been going to Oak Ridge Elementary for 2 years PRE K and KINDERGARTEN she learned so much shes also speaking properly and in my opinion its the best school. Unfortunately i moved out of the school zone and i have to look somewhere else. However, her teachers are the best ( Mrs. Bartlett Pre k and Mrs. Roy kindergarten)Parent Review5y ago3 Reviews - Oak Ridge High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is de definition of them not caring about the students teaching and more about how they are as them getting into trouble, they tried to be “strict” but that doesn’t help the fact that they have new teachers that don’t know what are doing and more of putting work as “teaching” the woodlands compare to this doesn’t compare if I had to let my kid graduate in this school I wouldn’t.Parent Review8mo ago9 Reviews - Vogel Intermediate School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am sad to write a review such as this, but it needs to be said. I am highly disappointed in this school, my student that goes here is half Korean and half White. It is sad the discrimination that he has faced at this school and the lack of responsibility taken by the school. Multiple times students have called him a dog-eater, a ching-chong, and other discriminatory terms. After facing this inappropriate behavior, he did as any student would have done- reported it to his teacher. Any student should feel as if they can go to their teacher if they have any issues and not be dismissed. But unfortunately, this was not the case. After the teacher was informed, she didn't do anything on her part, she didn't report it to the counselor or any of the administrative staff. The kids faced no consequences for their actions and therefore, the harassment continued. And even despite reporting it multiple times to his teacher, she still did nothing. It got to the point where he felt as if he had no other option but to take care of it himself, while we do not condone him pushing the bully down to the ground, we feel as if this could've been avoided if the teacher had done her part. He also is supposed to receive accommodations on his assessments, but on his STAAR test, he received NONE of his accommodations. We have already reported both of these instances to the school, but I am still highly disappointed in this school.Other Review1mo ago11 Reviews - Irons Junior High School

"Really down to earth and kind people live here. Our neighbors are kind and very supportive. There is a mix of houses that are better kept up than others, but overall a very homey middle class neighborhood. "

"There are limited sidewalks which is an issue for dog owners, but there are lots of dogs being walked in the neighborhood. "

"There are lots of dogs in the area and most houses have big backyards. The only downer is that there are no sidewalks! "

"I don't live in this area, although I visit the area several times a week. The area appears to be very well kept with loads of activities at the local park. The area also appears to be very quiet. "

"I've lived here since I was 2 years old in 1972. Everywhere else has grown up but this neighborhood seems quiet and friendly as ever. The Woodlands is across the highway and there are a bunch of stores and restaurants. Close enough to walk but I can't."

"it's a great place to live family friendly and pet friendly. saw a coyote once but it was alright. My dogs go for walks out front and all of our neighbors and us look out for each other. "

"We've lived here for two and a half years, and spend a lot of time at concerts at the Pavilion in The Woodlands, a 2 mile drive, and shopping the Mall and great specialty stores like World Market, Hubble & Hudson grocery and bistro and Williams-Sonoma. The commute to Conroe is 15 mins and to downtown Houston in 45. Lake Conroe in under 30 mins. Safety and family are prime concerns of local government, and we've never seen sign of any disturbances. Our neighborhood has one entrance and only 40 (or so) homes, so there is very little through traffic. "
