Vogel Intermediate School

I did not like this school and did not like their Special Education program. Unimpressed with administration and the high teacher turnover that I observed.

We have had several kids attend Lamar and they have all had exceptional teachers each year, made solid friendships and have all done well academically moving forward.

My daughter has been going to Oak Ridge Elementary for 2 years PRE K and KINDERGARTEN she learned so much shes also speaking properly and in my opinion its the best school. Unfortunately i moved out of the school zone and i have to look somewhere else. However, her teachers are the best ( Mrs. Bartlett Pre k and Mrs. Roy kindergarten)

I have 2 children going to Hailey and everyone I have met has been amazing! My son has severe delays because of trauma and he gets over stimulated easily causing him to have meltdowns. I was very nervous about him going to school. His kindergarten teacher was amazing and always kept me informed of how he was doing. His next teacher was the same way and he has made so much progress this year. He is an above average student and I know it is because of his amazing teachers. My daughter is dyslexic and they have helped me get the help she needs. My girl has told me tons of stories about the principle which means she is very involved with the students. I am moving and I am very sad that my kids have to move schools.

Since 2006 I have had 4 children come through Houser Elementary. In these past 9 years, we have experienced nothing but the absolute best of everything. I have spent countless hours within the walls of this school. I have been a parent volunteer, a PTO member & a part-time paraprofessional substitute. All of my children have loved it there and so have I. We have had the most amazing teachers, staff and administrators who have been incredible partners in their educational journey. They have laid a strong foundation on which my children can continue to build, grow and learn. Houser has always fostered a fun, safe and caring learning environment. Communication is always open and clear. They are always responsive to our needs. I know with certainty that my children are safe and cared for. Houser has been so much more than a school. They have become family. This year is especially bittersweet as this is the last year for us to have a Houser Hawk. We are thankful for exceptional office staff, administrators, teachers at every grade level & specialty, custodial and cafeteria staff, and the very best coaches, librarian, technology, music & art teachers. I’m really looking forward to my students returning before graduation to walk those halls one last time. Thank you Houser for being such an important & impactful part of our lives.
