Originally built in the 1920's, the house was first a hunting cabin, then used as a church and family vacation home before being converted into a warm, inviting place perfect for everything from curling up by the fire with a good book to entertaining large crowds. French doors open from the dining room, living room and den onto a sweeping two tier deck nestled adjacent to acres of hardwoods and the wild life the Poconos are known for.

Master bedroom and laundry are both on the ground floor. The large, open kitchen works well between the breakfast nook and sunny dining room.

Neighborhood Description

One of the best thing about this house is the neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly, considerate and willing to look after one another's interests while still maintaining a strong sense of privacy. The roads are safe and quiet and the area is laced with hiking trails and old logging roads perfect for walks or mountain biking. We have loved all the sports we can do right outside our door. Depending on the weather you'll find us on our bikes or mountain bikes, hiking up past the beaver ponds or overlooking the river. We snowshoe, cross country ski, downhill ski, golf or throw the canoes on top of the car and spend the day counting eagles while we paddle down the Delaware. And of course if you're a hunter, which we're not, they tell us the hunting and fishing are both superb.

The house is close, but not too close, to shopping, sight seeing and tourist attractions.
