What Locals Say about Blairstown Township

  • Jennifer Vought
"They would like the open space and freedom to run. They might not like that not many people have a fenced in yard so the dogs aren’t always on a leash, etc. "
  • Jordan R. B.
"I’ve lived here for 3 years but grew up coming to blairstown to visit friends, family, events, etc. Beautiful, quiet, and has the perfect amount of store, recreation, parks, and food options. Great place to raise kids, and the people are always friendly. Love it here. "
  • Danielle K.
"It's the country. People are nice. You're sharing space with wild animals. There are very few streetlights & almost no sidewalks. Everything is 20 minutes away & there's one restaurant that delivers. Nothing is high-speed out here, especially the internet. It's a wonderful place to live if you want to get away from the hustle of a city but can be a shock for people coming from cities."
  • Andrea O. L.
"Definitely you Need a car in the area. No public transportation available. Maybe Uber. No buses. No taxis. "
  • Susan D.
"I have lived here for over 30 years, many of my neighbors have been here longer. that's a good sign of a wonderful, friendly and safe community."
  • Cristinajanezicaro
"very family friendly neighborhood. the town does really great things for the community. everyone cares about one another. "
  • Terri M.
"Frelinghuysen has an excellent elementary school, but the area lacks diversity. There isn't much of a "town" to speak of, you have to travel quite a distance to do any type of shopping. "
  • Brittnye B.
"Friday the 13th is the best in the town it brings the little town something fun but also attracts so many outsiders to visit our beautiful place. "
  • Solivan305
"Just moved here from the city. I find it to be quaint, cute and quiet. The neighborhood is full of history. The neighbors are welcoming. "
  • Drew
"I live in the beautiful town of Blairstown, New Jersey, a little rural community. In Blairstown, there is an abundance of friendly people, living on the abundance of rolling green hills and farmland. In our town, there are two schools, Blairstown Elementary, for children preschool to sixth grade, and North Warren Regional, a school for kids grades seven through twelve. North Warren also takes kids from the small neighboring towns, Frelinghuysen and Knowlton. Blairstown is phenomenal because it has everything. There are restaurants, and nightlife, but still things like places to swim, bike, and play sports. We are an hour from New York City, and hour and a half from the beach, 40 minutes from skiing, and about 2 hours from kid friendly attractions like Hershey Park. In all, Blairstown is an adorable town great for everyone from families with children, pets, and elderly couples. "
  • Polly
"This is a safe place to raise a family, parks, nature at its best, love it!"
  • Philip r.
"Blairstown Township is located near the Delaware Water Gap in the north-central portion of Warren County. Blairstown has nearly 2000 acres of open space which is largely under State or Federal ownership. Blairstown has approximately 2,000 households supporting a population of about 6000 people. "
