My family relocated to Milliken for the last couple months of school and unfortunately couldnt go anywhere else since this was what we lived by. Other than a fantastic playground staff is very disorganized and even refused my kindergartener to attend school til the following week and her teacher still wasnt there. The students are allowed to cuss and sadly my daughter went through a hazing situation and the principal said it was already handled and he was in trouble already even though i had to explain this was a separate issue i didnt even know what his first offense was. This was also handled by him since the teachers didnt care to even introduce themselves to me or my husband in person or in email. She literally sends the kids out and tells u shes patroling then goes inside when the kids are all with parents. I finally got the front desk to give me her info after i received a bag of random papers which turned out to be homework with no instructions and she said she just gives that out sometimes and its not being graded.. I finally decided I needed to give a review after they had a class field trip to the zoo and the sent me a letter saying I wasnt allowed to attend and I should plan my own trip over the summer which was extremely rude as we are struggling financially but whatever. I sent my daughter $20 to buy something at the zoo and her an old phone for pictures in her pink fanny pack. My husband went to drop her off and her teacher said she might not be able to have the phone but wasnt sure but said nothing else about the rest. We pick her up and her money is gone so i assumed she had bought something. About a week later she complained she didnt get to buy anything at the zoo and when I asked she said she wasnt even allowed to bring her fanny pack. I email her teacher and she said it was in a paper she forgot to give us that she couldnt have a bag of any kind. I asked why didnt she give it to my husband when he dropped her off that morning. She simply said well I dont have your money. I dont have much and $20 isnt a huge deal but this teacher literally made my daughter leave her bag in a classroom of kids after so many incidents prior I wanted to let everyone know how horrible the school is with even just Kindergartens. No geniune apologies or care to know her or her family or make us feel welcome I never received grades from this teacher she is so thoughtless. I will be posting at beginning of school year with names if staff has not resolved this.

My son had an overall positive experience because of teachers like Cooper, Adkins, Condon, DeRock, Mquat, Burns, Peterson and others. My daughter seems to be going to a totally different school. Teachers seem very unhappy and when you try to ask them about things they clam up. Everyone seems scared.

Although my child is attending a prestigious 4 year college, it was with no thanks to this school. My child is a self propelled learner. This school seems to value athletics and trade school programs over STEM and various AP courses along with student recognition. This school also does nothing when it comes to bullying. They don’t return phone calls, they sweep the problem under the rug. I would not recommend this school or this district to anyone who values higher education, morals, and respect for others.
